Cardiac Cath Lab Technician I
The Cardiac Cath Tech I assists the Cardiologist in the performance of invasive cardiac procedures on adult and geriatric patients. This Tech measures, calculates and prepares test results for evaluation. Will also be responsible for maintaining patient records for the department.
<ul><li>A Degree from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy or Cardiovascular Technology.
</li><li>Technologist or Therapist must be registered by the state of Florida or CCI in their profession.
</li><li>BLS and ACLS Required.
</li><li>Previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.
</li><li>Must possess skills to provide assistance in diagnostic &amp; interventional cath procedures.
</li><li>Assists with invasive cardiac catheter lab procedures on patients to include but not limited to:

</li><li>temporary pacemakers

</li><li>Provides care for the physical needs of patients by executing various Cath Lab concepts to maximize performance. This includes: positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, and technical factors. Modifies technical factors to achieve desired results and recognizes complications / limitations associated with certain procedures. Proactively identifies how to address these for optimum outcomes.
</li><li>Provides direct assistance to physicians during procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.

Job Description<ul><li>Will assist interventional cardiologist in operation of Cath lab</li><li>Ensure that angiographic and procedural data is properly archived for long term storage</li><li>Responsible for prompt and efficient repairs of EM equipment</li><li>Verify the presence of all components of procedure information both in hard and soft copy</li><li>Ensure wearing of lead shields by everyone in Cath lab</li><li>Maintain and update daily in / out, repair activity and miscellaneous equipment register</li><li>Perform any other duty assigned by MOIC Ward</li></ul>Qualification: Matric (Sci) with Diploma Nursing course or 01 year Diploma in Cardiac TechnologyExperience: 3-5 years working as Cath lab technician in recognized instituteJob Type: Full-timeEducation:<ul><li>High School (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Cardiac Tech Diploma (Required)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
