Job Summary and Qualifications</h5> 
Cath Lab Technicians are Cardiovascular Technologists who work in our facilities and run tests on heart health. They assist with the insertion of catheters into the heart and are responsible for measuring and administering special fluids. 
What you will do in this role: 
 
 
<ul><li>Under the general supervision of the Cath Lab Supervisor and the CV Services Director, the Cardiac Cath Lab Technologist, in cooperation with the physicians and nursing personnel, assists with diagnostic and therapeutic invasive cardiology patient procedures in the catheterization labs.
</li><li>Demonstrates knowledge of the principles of radiographic imaging, patient physiologic monitoring and cardiac arrhythmias recognition.
</li><li>Complies with principles of sterile techniques.
</li><li>Collects and assembles data for database, outcome analysis and performance improvement.
</li><li>Responsible for carrying out any other activities assigned by the Cath Lab Supervisor or CV Services Director to ensure the department runs effectively and efficiently.
</li><li>The Cath Lab Tech must participate in the on-call rotation and respond within 30 minutes to the Cath Lab when on call.</li></ul> 
What qualifications you will need: 
 
 
<ul><li>Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technologist program or Invasive Cardiovascular Technology program preferred.
</li><li>Two years of current experience in Cath lab may be substituted for completion of Radiology Technologist program or invasive cardiovascular technologist (CVT) program completion.</li><li>
Current BCLS certification required within 30 days of start date and maintained.
</li><li>ACLS certification required within 6 months of employment.
</li><li>Active RCIS (Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist) or RT licensure preferred.
</li><li>If a new Invasive CVT graduate, must attain credential within 1 year of eligibility date.</li><li>
One year of experience in Cath lab, or equivalent clinical experience as part of educational program.

Assists in pre-procedural and post-procedural care, as appropriate, providing patient care. Operates all equipment safely and correctly. Maintains inventory and orders supplies. Cleans assigned area and maintains stock supply through inventory control.● Demonstrates the ability to handle emergency situations during procedures.● Is BLS certified, and can perform CPR, and is able to operate and care for temporary pacemakers, and IABP.● Adheres to the Principles of Service Standards of the facility while representing the Demonstrates the ability to work as a team member with other staff, assist physicians and assist with interpretation of data collected.● Communicates the mission, ethics, and goals of the facility, as well as the focus statement of the department and complies with all organizational policies regarding ethical business practices.● Maintains license requirements.● Basic computer knowledge.● Proficient in interpreting EKG, cardiac rhythms, and hemodynamic pressure tracings, IABP.● Operates different equipment: x-ray table, camera, hemodynamics, ultrasound machines, and pressure injectors.Pay: $38.00 - $45.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>401(k)</li><li>401(k) matching</li><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Referral program</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Work Location: In person
