<p></p>The Cardiac Cath Tech I assists the Cardiologist in the performance of invasive cardiac procedures on adult and geriatric patients. This Tech measures, calculates and prepares test results for evaluation. Will also be responsible for maintaining patient records for the department.
<p></p><ul><li>A Degree from an accredited program in Radiologic Technology, Respiratory Therapy or Cardiovascular Technology.
</li><li>Technologist or Therapist must be registered by the state of Florida or CCI in their profession.
</li><li>BLS and ACLS Required.
</li><li>Previous experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab preferred.
</li><li>Must possess skills to provide assistance in diagnostic &amp; interventional cath procedures.

GENERAL SUMMARY:</b></p><p>
The Cardiac Cath Lab Tech II is responsible to assist in the performance of invasive testing and interventional procedures used in the detection and treatment of the heart and circulatory system within Cardiac Catheter, CTO and Structural Heart procedure rooms. They must also be proficient in the functions of Monitoring, Circulating and Scrubbing.</p><ul><li><p>
Demonstrates comprehensive understanding of cardiac, vascular, respiratory, and renal physiology and pathology, as well as ECG interpretation, cardiac medications, and hemodynamic principles.</p></li><li><p>
Performs all three essential functions within the Cath Lab &mdash; Monitoring, Circulating, and Scrubbing &mdash; for diagnostic and interventional cardiac, CTO, and Structural Heart procedures.</p></li><li><p>
Monitors and records hemodynamic data, ECG waveforms, and procedural events; alerts physicians to critical changes or abnormalities.</p></li><li><p>
Assists physicians during diagnostic and interventional procedures, ensuring adherence to sterile technique, radiation safety, and infection control standards.</p></li><li><p>
Recognizes and responds appropriately to arrhythmias and emergent situations using ACLS standards.</p></li><li><p>
