Job Summary</b></h2>

The cardiovascular operating room nurse (CVOR RN) coordinates and performs all aspects of patient care during cardiovascular, cardiothoracic, or vascular surgical procedures and other areas of the OR as needed to include pre-op preparation and patient transport. The CVOR RN works to ensure the operating room environment is safe and consults with health care team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care. The CVOR RN may function as a scrub nurse or as a circulating nurse.</p>
<p>Utilizes the nursing process to promote and restore patient&rsquo;s health status; collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; provides physical and psychological support to patients, family members and significant others; and supervises assigned team members. The CVOR RN provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery. This role involves preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care, ensuring patient safety, adherence to sterile technique, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team.<br>

5 x 8-hour days, 40 hours per week shifts vary between either 0630 - 1500 &amp; 1045 - 1900

Some call and call back needed.

Shifts are Monday - Friday on call would be 2-3 days per week depending on experience and cases.

Every other weekend for On Call.<br>
