Responsibilities*</b></h2><ul><li>
Coordinates procedural preparation and follow up for patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias and disorders.</li><li>
Collaborates with other health care professionals, such as physicians, referring offices, scheduling, nursing, and diagnostic services to provide a coordinated plan of care for our patients.</li><li>
Reviews patient medical records from referring physicians and establishes diagnosis and treatment plan with the medical staff.</li><li>
Interrogates pacemakers, ICD?s and other devices. Adjusts settings of CIED based on protocol and under supervision and direction of EP Fellows, APP?s, and Attending physicians.</li><li>
Provide ongoing Cardiology patient support per clinical and QI protocols.</li><li>
Participate in ongoing research studies and in the development, implementation, evaluation and outcome monitoring of clinical care for Cardiology patients.</li><li>
Coordinate and follow-up of Cardiology patient test and procedures.</li><li>
Communicate plans of care with patients, family members, physicians and other consulting services.</li><li>
Develops, evaluates, and reviews current nursing protocols and standards of care for cardiac patients utilizing current research and clinical practice guidelines.</li></ul><p>

<b>Job Summary:</b><br>
<br>
The CVOR RN provides professional nursing care to patients undergoing cardiovascular surgery. This role involves preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative nursing care, ensuring patient safety, adherence to sterile technique, and collaboration with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other members of the surgical team.<br>
</div><div><b>Unit Requirements:</b><br>
<br>
5 x 8-hour days, 40 hours per week shifts vary between either 0630 - 1500 &amp; 1045 - 1900
<br>
Some call and call back needed.
<br>
Shifts are Monday - Friday on call would be 2-3 days per week depending on experience and cases.
<br>
Every other weekend for On Call.<br>
<br>
<b>Qualifications:</b><br>
<br>
1. Current and valid state RN License preferred<br>
2. Current BLS certificate<br>
3. Current ACLS certificate<br>
4. Previous Acute Care hospital experience/ DaVinci XI Experience<br>
5. CVOR Experience 3 years minimum</div><br>
