Qualifications:

Job Requirements:</div><ul><li>
A graduate of an accredited nursing school.</li><li>
Must possess a current Oklahoma License as a Registered Nurse.</li><li>
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.</li><li>
RN must obtain ACLS within 6 months of hire date. New graduates will obtain ACLS within 1 year of hire date.</li></ul><div>
Preferred Job Requirements:</div><ul><li>
Desirable characteristics include at least one year of experience as an RN, preferably in the area of application.</li></ul></div>

SCHEDULE: Full Time, 8 HR Day Shift, 8
POSITION SUMMARY<ul><li>Provides patient care through implementation of the nursing process for all age groups cared for on the unit.</li><li>Functions as patient advocate.</li><li>Provides patient education.</li><li>Coordinates patient&rsquo;s plan of care with physicians and other disciplines.</li><li>Maintains an atmosphere, which ensures South Georgia Medical Center&rsquo;s values, goals, policies and procedures are consistently supported and enforced.</li></ul>
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS &amp; ABILITIES<ul><li>Education, Certification, &amp; Licensure: Current RN License in State of Georgia. Current CPR (C) required. Applicable specialty certification preferred. ACLS, PALS, NALS credentials preferred.</li><li>One (1) year experience in related specialty area preferred.</li><li>Ability to work well individually and as a team leader or member.</li><li>Demonstrated ability to adapt to new situations, manage priorities and utilize problem-solving techniques.</li><li>Ability to read and interpret policies, standards, and think critically evaluating patient care issues.</li><li>Strong nursing skills in assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation.</li><li>Ability to communicate clearly with, and care for diverse population of patients/family units of all ages, a variety of cultures, and/or persons occasionally exhibiting stressed behaviors.</li></ul>
 WORKING CONDITIONS - ADA INFORMATION
Works primarily in hospital setting. Requires considerable standing, mental effort, stooping, bending, lifting (in excess of fifty (50) lbs.), pushing objects (carts, beds, and wheelchairs), and operation of clinical and office equipment. Likely to be exposed to blood and body fluids, including infectious diseases. May rarely require accompanying and assisting with patient transport to another facility. Uses medical, office equipment, and telecommunications devices on a regular basis (e.g., I.V. pumps, fax, computer, and pagers).

Assesses procedure room or equipment functioning and readiness. Obtains supplies for individual cases and ensures all appropriate needs of the Cardiovascular Laboratory team are met. Monitors physiologic and hemodynamic data, as related to diagnostic and/or therapeutic procedures performed in the cardiovascular lab. Monitors and records patients condition continuously while in the Cardiovascular lab. Participates in performance improvement and continuous quality improvement activities.

 Bachelor Degree in Nursing (BSN); preferred.

 Active state Registered Nursing (RN) License; required.

 Current BCLS (AHA), ACLS certificate upon hire and maintain current; required.

 One (1) year clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab doing cardiac work or in a Critical Care area; required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $38.18 to $57.87.
