</p><p>As a Cargo Agent, you will perform all cargo handling related activities including documentation, customer service, acceptance, delivery, breakdown, build-up, equipment operation and transport to ensure smooth handling of cargo throughout Cargo Operations (Export and Import)
</p><p>In this role, you will;
</p><ul><li>Follows all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner
</li><li>Follows the day-to-day operations related to own job
</li><li>Discusses safety concerns openly and reports them to the relevant supervisor
</li><li>Complies with relevant safety, quality and environmental management policies, procedures and controls to ensure a healthy and safe work environment
</li><li>Guides and assists the team of Loaders and Equipment Operators in cargo handling activities ( build-up, breakdown, acceptance and delivery, documentation of cargo, courier and mail in line with the standards
</li><li>Inspects and validates against relevant documentation and counts goods at every point of delivery, acceptance, breakdown and build-up to ensure that goods conform to relevant criteria and are dispatched in line with the standard work procedures
</li><li>Enters data manually or automatically in the cargo systems in a timely manner
</li><li>Coordinates with Government Authorities such as Customs, Municipality, Health or Police in an efficient and effective manner to ensure smooth movement of all cargo, courier and mail

</b><br>

&bull; Discharge and load all non-containerized cargo from internal and external means of transportation to the storage locations and/or the warehouses.
<br>
&bull; Identify the marks and signs on the non-containerized cargo.
<br>
&bull; Control measurements and weight of cargo and observe stowage rules.
<br>
&bull; Execute work according procedures upon given instructions.
<br>
&bull; Maintain handling of various types of cargos as per the SWL of the equipment.
<br>
&bull; Report damages and discrepancies when found.
<br>
&bull; Perform equipment check list at the beginning of shift.
<br>
&bull; Recognize technical malfunctions of the forklift report those with the supposed cause and assist according to his ability to solve them.
<br>
&bull; Before the shift start fill up the check list form to assure the safety and readiness of the vehicle.
<br>
&bull; Responsible for the correct usage and cleanliness of the forklift.
<br>
&bull; Adhere strictly and enforce all safety regulations.
<br>
&bull; Adhere strictly to all work procedures
<br>
&bull; Any other job being assigned by the foreman
<br>
&bull; Report to Operations Foreman.
<br>
&bull; Implement best practices, policies etc., where appropriate.
<br>
&bull; Identify significant risks within his operational area.
<br>
&bull; Operate carefully when an identified risk observed.
<br>
&bull; Follow specified systems, processes and procedures, implemented in the workplace, to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and other requirements/standards
