<div><div>This is a merit hire position. The starting pay rate for this position is $23.77. This position is covered by a Collective Bargaining Agreement. Dauphin County Children &amp; Youth Services is currently accepting applications for a full-time position of Caseworker 2. The Caseworker 2 performs social service casework and case management for children, adolescents and their families by conducting interviews, assessing needs, and case planning. He/she establishes and maintains associated confidential records and collaborates with legal staff in judicial and quasi-judicial proceedings pursuant to clients&rsquo; well-being. The Caseworker 2 may make task assignments to a Social Service Aide and reports directly to the Caseworker Supervisor.</div> 
Minimum Education, Experience, and Training Requirements:<ul><li><div> 
Six months of experience as a CYS Caseworker 1.</div></li></ul><ul><li><div> 
Or successful completion of the Social Casework Intern program.</div></li></ul><ul><li><div> 
Or a bachelor's degree with a social welfare or Social Work major.</div></li></ul><ul><li><div> 
Or a bachelor's degree which includes or is supplemented by 12 college credits in sociology, social welfare, social work, psychology, gerontology, criminal justice, or other related social sciences, and one year of professional social casework experience in a public or private social services agency.</div></li></ul> 
Other Requirements:
At the time of hire, a valid driver&rsquo;s license and positive driving record, a favorable criminal background check, child abuse and FBI clearances, as well as favorable references are required. The applicant must provide proof of a valid Pennsylvania driver&rsquo;s license within 60 days from the date of hire. An alternative form of identification will be accepted if you are not eligible to receive a Pennsylvania driver&rsquo;s license under 67 PA. Code &sect; 83 and driving is not an essential function of the position.

<div><div>Family Services Specialist I - represents the entry level employees working under close supervision while being trained in program areas such as, Adult/Adult Protective Services, Child Protective Services, Foster Care/&rsquo;Adoption, Child Care, and Employment Services. Employees perform routine- to journey-level casework activities and the casework usually is reviewed by the supervisor prior to implementing a case action. Upon completion of the training program and attainment of necessary approvals, the employee shall be redefined to a full-performance Family Services Specialist II and becomes eligible for a pay increase as defined by the local agency compensation plan. The Family Services Specialist I is distinguished from the Family Services Specialist II by the latter&rsquo;s functioning more independently as a full performance Family Services Specialist.

Employees may provide services in all program areas or specialize in one or several program areas. About TRAC Services for Families:Since 1979 TRAC has worked so that no child will have to face a life without permanency. TRAC was founded by adoptive parents and professionals and established as a volunteer staffed project of the Junior League of Pittsburgh. Today, TRAC is a full service agency that serves as the central resources for permanency information, adoption and foster family recruitment, placement of special needs children, post-permanency support, education, and referral services throughout Allegheny and its contiguous counties. Adhering to the permanency standards of the Child Welfare League of America, TRAC is a multi-service agency serving children who cannot remain with their birth families and the resource families who provide these children permanence. Primarily, the children served fall into several categories. More than half are African America; many are older and/or part of a sibling group who need to stay together; and others have emotional, physical, or mental challenges. Most of these children have experienced multiple moves in the foster care system and high percentages have been victims of abuse and neglect. TRAC works with public and private agencies to implement cooperative, cost effective programs to meet the placement and post-placement needs of these children.
