 Position Overview
 
 
 
 The primary responsibility of the Cashier &ndash; Poker is to perform Poker tournament buy-ins, award Poker tournament payouts, issue and redeem gaming chips, and record transactions. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and The Venetian Resort&rsquo;s policies, practices, and procedures.
 
 
 
 Essential Duties &amp; Responsibilities

 Assists guests with Poker tournament buy-ins and issues and redeems guests gaming chips.

 Verifies Poker tournament paperwork, including prize pools, staff fees, and revenue.

 Redeems Poker tournament prize vouchers from tournament winners.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains knowledge of and adheres to all Internal Controls and Gaming Regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintains a knowledge of the poker room in regards to upcoming cash game promotions, tournament series, and basic poker room understanding to assist guests as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Works with Cage and Poker Management to resolve guest challenges as needed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Actively support and assist colleagues by sharing knowledge, providing assistance with tasks, and generally working as a team to achieve common goals.
 </li>
 <li>
 Provides a service or assistance to meet the needs of a guest, client, or customer.
 </li>
 <li>

 Minimum Qualifications

 21 years of age.

 Proof of authorization/eligibility to work in the United States.

 High school diploma required.

 Must be able to obtain and maintain a Nevada Gaming Control Board registration and any other certification or license, as required by law or policy.

 6 months of experience in a casino cage position, preferable from a high-volume casino.
 </li>
 <li>
 Experience in high volume banking preferred.
 </li>
 <li>
 Knowledge of Regulation 6A and understanding of state, federal, company, and departmental rules and regulations.
 </li>
 <li>
 Working knowledge of a computer, 10 key by touch and telephone.
 </li>
 <li>
 Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English, both in spoken and written form.
 </li>
 <li>
 Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and other Team Members of different backgrounds and levels of experience.
 </li>

Qualifications

Basic Math skills with knowledge of currency.</li><li>
Ability to operate calculators, computers, and money counters for cash and coin.</li><li>
Must be able to bend, push, lift, and carry up to 26 pounds in weight.</li><li>
Strong communication skills with the ability to read and speak English.</li><li>
