The Staff Nurse (RN) is an integral part of the patient care team using critical thinking skills, clinical expertise and critical care skills to continually assess the patients' hemodynamic, neurologic and respiratory response to the varied procedures performed in the lab. The Staff Nurse (RN) is responsible for administering conscious sedation to patients during these procedures as well continually assessing their level of sedation and managing their airway. <p>***Job Summary: <b>Monday through Friday No Weekend and No Holidays</b></p><p>We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Catheterization Lab team. As a Registered Nurse in the Cath Lab, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care during diagnostic and interventional procedures. Your expertise and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring the safety and well-being of our patients.</p><p><b>RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><p>● Provide pre/intra/post procedure nursing care (assessment, monitoring, intervention and education) related to diagnostic and therapeutic adult cardiac catheterization procedures including (but not limited to) angioplasty, coronary stents, Swan Ganz/right heart catheterization, Peripheral Artery and Venous interventions and Cardiac Rhythm Management.</p><p>● Apply nursing theory to the assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and evaluation of patient responses to health, illness, and procedure.</p><p>● Perform patient care according to patient priority (includes interventions identified through nursing diagnoses), and departmental, divisional, and/or unit policies, procedures, and protocols to maintain a safe environment for patients, visitors and staff. Document/report interventions and patient/family response. Follow universal precautions.</p><p>● Actively monitor patient vitals during adult vascular procedures including moderate sedation, and circulating duties. Participate in life-saving measures such as defibrillation and cardiopulmonary resuscitation as needed.</p><p>● Demonstrate competency in the following: Arterial and Venous access management/hemostasis, angioplasty, coronary stents, Peripheral intervention, intra-aortic balloon pumps, and recognition of cardiac rhythms.</p><p>● Demonstrates competency in caring for post-op patients with frequent vital signs and assessment skills</p><p>● Administer intravenous and oral medications to patients.</p><p>● Maintains and monitors pharmaceutical and narcotic levels and documents appropriately</p><p>● Manage patients under procedural sedation.</p><p>● Operate physiologic recorder and printer to monitor electrocardiogram and hemodynamic data. 1. Provide assessment and care of the patient undergoing transesophageal echo (TEE), cardioversions and other cardiac procedures with appropriate competency completion.</p><p>

4. Provide safe medication administration for the cardiac patient</p><p>
