Job Summary
The CDL Class A Driver (LTL) is responsible for driving a tractor-trailer combination or straight truck to deliver and pick up palletized freight and/or large shipments.
Hours and Wages<ul><li>
Monday-Friday, 7:30AM start - completion of route</li><li>
10-15 hours of overtime expected each week</li><li>
Paid OT at time and a half after 40 hours per week</li><li>

Duties and Responsibilities<ul><li>
Conduct a pre-trip inspection before driving to ensure that mechanical, safety, and emergency equipment are in good working order</li><li>
Turn in pre-trip form and complete mileage and maintenance forms</li><li>
Deliver palletized freight in a timely manner to customers and pick up freight from shippers</li><li>
Verify all load-related documentation to ensure that it is complete and accurate</li><li>
Collect payment for shipments as necessary and return bill of ladings to the office for billing purposes</li><li>
Maintain all required certifications required by DOT and company safety policies</li><li>
Wash the exterior of tractor and equipment daily</li><li>
Assist other drivers with loading, delivery, or pick up as needed</li></ul>

About the role
This CDL A Driver role operates tankers, roll offs, and straight body box trucks using manual transmission equipment, hauling hazardous and non hazardous materials including flammable liquids, corrosive materials, wastewater, and drums. The position is home most days with one to two overnights per week.<div><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Responsibilities</h2><ul><li>
Safely operate tanker trucks, roll offs, and straight body trucks to load, transport, and unload hazardous and non hazardous materials in compliance with all DOT and EPA regulations.</li><li>
Use an electric pallet jack to move and handle drums and assist with loading as needed.</li><li>
Complete accurate electronic driver logs, manifests, and records using company issued tablets and ELogs systems such as Samsara.</li><li>
Perform daily pre trip and post trip inspections including tires, hoses, valves, fittings, brakes, and safety equipment.</li><li>
Communicate with dispatch through email and electronic systems regarding schedules, routes, and delivery requirements.</li><li>
Follow written and verbal instructions, maintain route accuracy, and ensure safety during all loading and unloading activities.</li><li>
Maintain a clean and organized cab and ensure all equipment is kept in safe working order.</li><li>
Complete additional duties as assigned in support of facility operations.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Qualifications</h2><ul><li>
High School Diploma or GED preferred.</li><li>
Must be 21 years of age or older for interstate driving.</li><li>
Valid Class A CDL.</li><li>

The pay range for the primary location of this position is: $47,400.00 - $63,100.00 USD. For hourly roles, this is the annualized salary. To calculate the hourly rate, divide by 2080.
