Responsibilities:
<h3 class="jobSectionHeader">Essential Functions</h3><ul><li>
Perform diagnostic and therapeutic nuclear medicine procedures, PET scanning, cardiac stress lab functions, and radiopharmacy tasks as required.</li><li>
If dual certified as RT(CT) or NMTCB(CT), perform diagnostic CT imaging per guidelines or physician order.</li><li>

Complete all computer acquisition, processing, and documentation as required.</li><li>
Perform quality control on all Nuclear Medicine instrumentation per written procedures or manufacturer guidelines.</li><li>
Order and administer radiopharmaceuticals, including positron emitters, as required.</li><li>
Maintain records in compliance with Florida Department of Health, Radiation Control.</li><li>
Perform all safety checks as outlined by the Florida Department of Health, Radiation Control.</li><li>
Perform venipuncture and evaluate IV access for radiopharmaceutical and medication administration as prescribed by a licensed practitioner. If dual certified, may also administer contrast per guidelines or physician order.</li><li>
Prepare radiopharmaceutical doses, calculate exact patient dosages as required by law, and maintain records.</li><li>
Assist in the administration of therapeutic radioactive materials with an authorized user.</li><li>
Participate in the corporate ALARA Radiation Safety Program.</li><li>
Ensure safety of all customers.</li><li>
Maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies and applicable federal, state, and local standards.</li><li>

Job Summary and Qualifications</h5>
Minimum Education, Experience, Training, Required Knowledge, Skill, Abilities and Other Job-Related Characteristics:
1. Education: Graduate of a Nuclear Medicine training program
2. Experience: 2 years experience as nuclear medicine technologist in a hospital setting
3. Employee completes initial and ongoing training and competencies as defined by service line, facility and department/unit which are specific to the needs of the patient population served (if applicable).
Minimum License, Certificates, or Registrations Required:
1. One of the following:
 i. ARRT (R) or ii. ARRT (N) or iii. ARRT (T) or iv. NMTCB
2. Medical Radiologic Technologist Certification from Texas Department of Health 
What you will do in this Role:
1. Supervises assigned personnel within and responsible for the effective planning and operation of the section(s). Evaluates performance of employees and takes appropriate personnel action when necessary. Motivates employees to achieve peak productivity and performance by providing clear direction and expectations. 
2. Leads both formal and informal meetings, which maximize the group&rsquo;s success.
