In addition to care for small patient panel, the NP will provide urgent and ongoing care to patients empaneled by faculty primary care providers. Extended visit times and lower visit volumes than seen in typical primary care practices are the standard in order for the NP to develop meaningful relationships with the patients and other primary care providers. The NP will collaborate and coordinate care with interdisciplinary care teams to ensure the plan of care is in line with and supports the patient&rsquo;s goals of care, physical and social needs. The NP will be responsible for documentation of visits and follow up re-assessment(s) in the electronic medical record, along with recommendations and/or prescriptions.</p><br>

<p><b>Specific Duties &amp; Responsibilities</b></p>
<ul><li>Work schedule includes 40 hours per week, being comprised of six (6) in person or telemedicine clinic sessions and two (2) administrative sessions per week. Administrative time is allotted to allow the provider ample time to coordinate care and interface with other team members.</li>
<li>Develop and maintain a primary care panel focused on diagnosis, management, and treatment of medical ailments as well as wellness and disease prevention.</li>
<li>Assist with providing comprehensive and episodic care to adult patients whose primary care provider is a faculty member in general internal medicine. This includes reviewing the patient chart, taking a history, completing a physical assessment and interpreting diagnostic and radiologic testing along with communicating those findings to the PCP.</li>
<li>Perform preoperative evaluations.</li>
<li>Proactive patient communication, education and coordination of care between visits and schedule patient appointments for telehealth or in-person visits when appropriate.</li>
<li>Provide post discharge coordination to reduce hospital readmission rates and emergency room utilization.</li>
<li>Counsel and teach patients and family members concerning disease process and expected outcomes.</li>

Maintains Files: Maintains paper and electronic files in compliance with internal policies. Performs routine filing and retrieves files as needed. Maintains chronological files and administrative files for assigned attorneys.</li><li>
Timekeeping: Prepares time entries for assigned attorneys and submits in a timely manner. Prepares expense reimbursement and disbursement requests. Prepares billing letters and coordinates client billing matters with the Billing Department in Greenville.</li><li>
General Administrative Support: Prepares and processes new matter documents. Receives and screens phone calls and takes message as required. Receives and directs clients and visitors. Coordinates travel arrangements, prepares itineraries, and prepares travel expense reports. Schedules meetings and arranges for conference rooms and meals. Communicates effectively and professionally with clients and with others in the Firm. Is proactive in anticipating the business needs of the assigned attorneys; plans ahead and meets deadlines.<ul><li>
The Practice Assistant may be responsible for additional administrative assistance and may, on occasion:<ul><li>
Assist with mentoring new office staff</li><li>
Assist with piloting new software</li></ul></li></ul></li></ul>
Requirements:
<ul><li>4+ years of experience as a practice assistant or legal secretary, Labor and Employment experience a plus</li><li>
Knowledge of legal terminology, legal documents and legal processes</li><li>
Accurate typing of at least 70 words per minute</li><li>
Strong computer proficiency in the use of MS Office, document management, time entry, e-filing and database software</li><li>
Excellent communication skills, written and verbal</li><li>
Understanding of correct grammar, spelling and punctuation</li><li>
Strong proofreading skills</li><li>
Superior organizational skills including filing, calendaring, and proofreading</li><li>
Time management skills and ability to work independently as well as with a team</li><li>
Regular predictable attendance</li></ul><div><i>

</div>Wage Transparency:
<p>
In accordance with Maryland&rsquo;s Equal Pay for Equal Work-Wage Range Transparency Law, the expected salary range for this Baltimore position is between $50,000 and $94,000. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience, geographic location, and other job-related factors as permitted by law. This position qualifies for the benefits below.</p>
