<p><b>What You&rsquo;ll Do</b></p>
<ul><li>Accurately manage and administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders, policies, and regulations.</li>
<li>Document medication administration, effectiveness, and any side effects per established procedures.</li>
<li>Protect residents&rsquo; rights and ensure confidentiality during all aspects of medication delivery.</li>
<li>Transcribe new or changed orders into the electronic health record MAR within scope of practice.</li>

</p></div><p></p><div><p>The Phlebotomist plays a pivotal role at Kinwell in coordinating and optimizing patient care by ensuring accurate specimen collection, seamless laboratory processes, and compliance with safety standards. This position supports Kinwell healthcare providers by completing clinician orders for laboratory testing, performing limited point-of-care testing, and preparing specimens for transport .<br>

</i></p></div><div><ul><li><p>Collect blood specimens using venipuncture and capillary techniques promptly and accurately.

</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Provide patient instructions for specimen collection (e.g., urine, stool) and post-phlebotomy care.

</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to specimen collection and equipment.

</i></p></div><div><ul><li><p>Certification as a Medical Assistant -PBT ( Phlebotomist ) by time of hire .
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Active Washington s tate certification through the Department of Health (DOH) as a Certified Medical Assistant - Phlebotomist.
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>High school diploma or equivalent.
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Documented training per CLIA regulation 42CFR493.1423.
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>One year of experience as a Phlebotomist or performing whole blood collections.
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care strongly preferred at time of hire from American Heart Association (AHA), Red Cross, or Military Training Network (MTN) or willingness to obtain within 6-months of hire.
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Experience with Quest Diagnostics.
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Experience using EPIC. (Preferred)
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Understanding of CLIA practices and testing.
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Ability to serve pediatric and elderly patients.
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Demonstrated clinical expertise and proficiency in clinical procedures.
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Demonstrated focus on ensuring quality in patient care.
</p></li></ul></div><div><ul><li><p>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks while maintaining strong attention to detail.
