We are seeking a motivated Chemical Engineering Graduate to join our team in the water and wastewater treatment sector. This role offers hands-on working in designing process systems which are critical for water and wastewater treatment infrastructure.<h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
Your role</h2>
As a Apprentice - Process Engineer, responsibilities include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>
Preparation of Process design for:<ul><li>
Clean water treatment (includes DAF, RGFs, disinfection, membrane filtration, etc).</li><li>
Wastewater treatment (includes ASP, RBC, SBR, SAF, MBBR, MBR, etc).</li><li>
Chemical dosing system for various applications (includes P removal, pH adjustment, etc).</li><li>
Sludge treatment (includes Centrifuge, Filter press, Thickener, etc).</li><li>
Odour and septicity treatment.</li></ul></li><li>
The above design comprising the:<ul><li>
Selection of process and process calculations,</li><li>
Preparation of site layout,</li><li>
Process Flow Diagram &amp; Mass balance calculations,</li><li>
Process &amp; Instrumentation Diagrams,</li><li>
Process control philosophy,</li><li>
Technical report writing at all stages of the project lifecycle.</li><li>
Contributing to new innovative ideas/ making suggestions for innovation.</li><li>
Able to coordinate with wider team in multidisciplinary projects.</li><li>
Exhibit positive energy and enthusiasm and is self-motivated.</li></ul></li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">
About you</h2><ul><li>
B. Tech in Chemical Engineering.</li><li>
Possess good communication and soft skills and be able to function independently with minimal supervision or as a member of a multidiscipline team.</li><li>
Some knowledge of industry, best practices or regulatory standards, regulations and codes pertinent to Water Industry.</li></ul><h2 class="jobSectionHeader">

<div>Description
An Intern will work collaboratively with our teams to support a Burns &amp; McDonnell Department, Global Practice or Regional Office. This position will provide support and assistance with requests in support of the business strategy.
Our Engineering Interns are responsible for performing tasks requiring the application of standard engineering techniques and procedures. This includes standard design of engineering systems, correcting and updating designs, assisting lead engineers with various project duties, and other duties as assigned.
Specific assignments and project work vary depending on the market segments. Please see below for information on each market:
Oil, Gas &amp; Chemical
The Oil, Gas &amp; Chemical group is responsible for the planning and design of facilities across the oil, gas and chemicals spectrum, specializing in process design for renewable fuels, chemical, refining and midstream industries.
<ul><li>Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, Power Point presentation.</li>
<li>Assist with responses to general questions.</li>
<li>Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.</li>
<li>Present solutions to concerns.</li>
<li>Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.</li>
<li>Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.</li>
<li>Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Involvement on campus or in the community preferred.</li>
<li>Candidates must be legally authorized to work permanently (i.e., without time limitations, without restrictions or without need for work sponsorship) in the country where this position is located.</li>
<li>Performs other duties as assigned</li>
<li>Complies with all policies and standards</li>
</ul>Qualifications
<ul><li>Pursuit of Bachelor's or Master&rsquo;s degree in Chemical Engineering from an accredited program.</li>
<li>Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education program in a field related to the work done in the department.</li>
<li>Minimum of a 3.0 GPA strongly preferred.</li>
<li>Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.</li>
<li>Actively involved in campus, community or other volunteer activities or organizations.</li>
<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills.</li>
<li>Strong problem solving and analytical skills.</li>
<li>Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.</li>
<li>Demonstrated leadership skills.</li>
<li>Self-motivated and eager learner, aptitude to grow and develop within the field.</li>
<li>Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.</li>
