Essential Job Functions:

Performs instrument calibration verifications and preventative maintenance as specified in the SOP to assure acceptable instrument performance. EJF 3. Completes and documents all required quality control (QC) steps as defined in the SOPs and Quality Manual for assigned test procedures. Includes the designated QC samples with each batch of samples processed. Evaluates analytical QC data after analysis to determine data acceptability and notify the team leader of any questionable data. EJF 4. Conducts initial processing and preservation of incoming samples. Verifies incoming sample identity, demographic data, requested testing, and preservation status. Performs routine housekeeping and decontamination protocols. Performs routine cleaning and decontamination of beakers, pipets, centrifuges, hoods and other equipment as required.  Responsibilities:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Perform laboratory tests as requested by the section head according to the standard operating procedures (SOPs).
 </li>
 <li>
 Collect and withdraw laboratory samples using proper technical methods and prepare them for the required tests.
 </li>
 <li>
 Record samples and results in the designated logbook for manually performed tests.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review results and validate them on the computer system for automated tests.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prepare periodic statistical reports.
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow up on maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment with the concerned hospital departments.
 </li>
 <li>
 Apply general safety rules and principles during work.
 </li>
 <li>
 Implement internal and external quality control systems, monitor results, and document them according to procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in proficiency testing (PT) and complete all related requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Compile data related to method validation calculations and review them.
 </li>
 <li>
 Monitor laboratory inventory of reagents, chemicals, and other supplies, ensuring optimal utilization.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform any other tasks assigned within the scope of the role.
 </li>

 Requirements:
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in Science or equivalent
 </li>
 <li>
 2&ndash;4 years of experience
 </li>
 <li>
 Valid professional practice license
 </li>
 </ul>
