<p></p><div><p><b>ChildNet Youth and Family Services, Inc. is currently seeking a contract Child/Adolescent Psychiatrist, 16 -30 hours/week (a combination of onsite/in-person and virtual), to provide psychiatric evaluations and medication support and management to children and adolescent clients within our Behavioral Health Services Program located in Long Beach, CA.
</b></p><p>The Psychiatrist promotes a strengths-based approach to treatment that empowers families, supports a community-based philosophy of service, and ensures that all clinical services are aligned with the agency&rsquo;s mission and values. Within agency guidelines and professional standards, the Psychiatrist functions independently and works directly with the BHS Program Director and Client Services Supervisor.</p>
<p>
This is a contracted position (16-30 hours per week) for a board-certified child psychiatrist, specializing in child &amp; adolescent psychiatry. The position will be responsible for receiving referrals for evaluation from therapists. The psychiatrist will evaluate, diagnose, and treat psychiatric disorders, provide follow-up, psychosocial education, and support to clients and their families, review case histories, and maintain clinical materials in accordance with Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health (LACDMH) requirements.</p>

This is a hybrid position, with most services delivered via HIPAA-compliant telehealth and scheduled in-office coverage twice per month.</b></p><p><b>Responsibilities</b></p><ul><li><b>Conduct psychiatric evaluations and ongoing medication management for adult and child/adolescent clients</b></li><li><b>Diagnose mental health conditions using DSM-5-TR criteria</b></li><li><b>Prescribe and monitor psychotropic medications</b></li><li><b>Complete Mental Status Exams (MSE) and AIMS assessments as clinically indicated</b></li><li><b>Collaborate with therapists, nurse practitioners, and clinical leadership on treatment planning</b></li><li><b>Develop and support person-centered treatment plans</b></li><li><b>Provide education to clients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, and side effects</b></li><li><b>Participate in scheduled on-site clinical days and virtual team meetings</b></li><li><b>Coordinate care with primary care providers, inpatient facilities, and other community partners</b></li><li><b>Respond to clinical concerns and support crisis planning as needed</b></li><li><b>Maintain timely, accurate documentation in the electronic health record</b></li><li><b>Ensure compliance with HIPAA, CARF, DBHDD, and professional standards</b></li></ul><p>Job Type: Part-time</p><p>Pay: $200.00 - $225.00 per hour</p><p>Work Location: Hybrid remote in Atlanta, GA 30349</p>
