Blackbird Health is looking for SPACE-trained therapists to join our growing team. If you're certified or trained in SPACE (Supportive Parenting for Anxious Childhood Emotions) and passionate about working with anxious kids and the families who love them, this role was built for you.</p>
<p>
SPACE is a parent-based treatment developed by Dr. Eli Lebowitz of the Yale Child Study Center and shown to be efficacious in randomized controlled clinical trials. It treats children and adolescents with anxiety disorders, OCD, and related problems, by working with parents and caregivers to change their own behavior, reduce accommodation, and respond more supportively to their child's anxiety. The child doesn't always need to be in the room. The results speak for themselves.</p>

Two (2) years of work experience as a Respiratory Therapist<br>
Previous affiliation or work experience in a similar practice setting<br>

Education/training REQUIRED:<br>
Education, training and/or experience that has satisfied the eligibility requirements for the National Board for Respiratory Care (or its predecessor organizations)<br>
<br>
Education/training PREFERRED:<br>
Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Respiratory Therapy from a Committee on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) accredited program<br>
<br>
Independent action(s) required:<br>
Cardiopulmonary assessment and monitoring, including during emergency response; airway care; selecting appropriate ventilators and non-ordered ventilator parameters; consulting with physicians and interdisciplinary team members regarding the appropriateness of the patient care plan; and maintaining work areas in a clean and well stocked manner.<br>
Perform shift team leader role in the supervisor&rsquo;s absence, if applicable.<br>
<br>
Additional position requirements: Depending on work assignment, may be required to rotate shifts, work on weekends and holidays and take on-call.<br>
<br>

Physical: Lifting 20-50 lbs.<br>
