Assist clients with navigating the behavioral health and criminal justice systems.</li><li>
Assists clients in building self-advocacy skills and developing coping skills.</li><li>
Assists clients with navigating the mental health and other systems.

Assists clients with finding and retaining employment, education, and volunteer work.</li><li>

Qualifications:

Mental Health Support Services (MHSS) is the provider of mental health, developmental disabilities, and substance use disorder services for children and adults in Chesterfield County. We are currently seeking a Residential Counselor to provide direct assistance, support/supportive counseling and skills training to individuals with intellectual disabilities, autism, co-occurring mental illness, and/or physical disabilities in a residential facility. Our Residential Counselors are dedicated and compassionate and work in group homes, supported living, in-home, homes of families, and other settings.<br>
<br>
<b>Minimum Qualifications</b>:<br>
Bachelor's degree in a human services field such as psychology, sociology, rehabilitation counseling, or a related field; one year of experience in working with individuals with intellectual disabilities; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Two years of related experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred. Medication Administration certification preferred. Experience using an electronic health record preferred.<br>

Working knowledge of the nature of intellectual disabilities and the role of residential support services. Residential Counselor (In Home Program)

<p>The Care Coordinator partners with a Mental Health and Developmental Family Therapist to support families referred to Child First. The Care Coordinator works collaboratively with the family to connect the child and family with desired, community-based services and supports while maintaining Child First&rsquo;s reflective, relationship-based stance. The Care Coordinator also enhances caregiver executive functioning skills (e.g., planning, organizing, managing time, focusing attention, regulating emotions, reflecting on progress) and engages the caregiver-child dyad in activities to strengthen the relationship. Through their work with families, the Care Coordinator both decreases the &ldquo;toxic&rdquo; stress in the home environment and enhances opportunities for optimal child development, thereby promoting healthy brain development for infants and young children. The best candidate for this position is highly organized, self-motivated, reliable, and flexible (including willingness to work non-traditional hours, including evening, weekend and holiday) with an openness to learning, capacity for self-reflection, eagerness to participate in reflective clinical supervision and desire to be part of a team. This Childcare Enrollment Specialist is a full-time role working for our multiple childcare sites.</p>

<li>Manage enrollment processes for a large-scale childcare program serving 162 children across 4 EEC licensed sites.</li>
<li>Serve as a primary point of contact for families throughout the enrollment process.</li>
<li>Accurately determine and assign the most appropriate funding source for each enrolled family based on eligibility and documentation.</li>
<li>Input, track, and maintain financial subsidy data for families, ensuring accuracy and compliance.</li>
<li>Administer enrollments for families receiving state-funded childcare as a contracted provider with the Department of Early Education and Care (EEC).</li>
<li>Collaborate closely with Seven Hills Child Care Resource &amp;amp; Referral (CCRR) regarding voucher placements.</li>
<li>Maintain compliance with EEC regulations and funding requirements.</li>
