Duties 
Prepare Youth for Success<ul><li> 
Creates an environment that facilitates the achievement of Youth Development Outcomes:

</li><li>Establishes and maintains program goals to ensure the health and safety of all members. 
</li><li>May ensure the evaluation of Club programs continually, including tracking outcome metrics; verify that programs/activities respond to member needs and address their gender and cultural diversity. 
</li><li>Uses child observation notes as a tool for curriculum planning, and keeps accurate and up-to-date records. 
</li><li>Continuously accounts for the members in their assigned group by name and face.</li><li>

Supervises classroom staff, students, and volunteers; provides regular feedback about job performance.

Requirements 
 
<ul><li>Must be an associate teacher qualified before November 6, 2017, have a minimum of 9 credits in related coursework or have a minimum of 1000 hours of supervised child care experience in a licensed child care program, and knowledge of child growth and development obtained through one of the following: a. Completion of a high school level 2-year career and technical education course in teacher education; b. A 3-credit college course in child or human growth and development; c. Thirty hours of training in child growth and development, granted by an accredited college or university, an authorized provider of the International Association for Continuing Education and Training, or obtained through documented life experience, including experience with the same age children, the associate teacher supervises, such as a family child care provider, service as a foster parent, work as a school teacher, work as a camp counselor and experience as a group leader for children in sports or other activities, such as scouts or little league, or closely related experience.</li><li> 
Must be 18 years of age or older.</li><li> 
Knowledge of current methods, principles, and techniques of teaching.</li><li> 
Knowledge of curriculum development and application.</li><li>

The Boys &amp; Girls Clubs of Central and Northern New Hampshire is a dynamic organization that currently supports 200 staff working in 30 Early Childhood and Out of School Time programs with a large geographic footprint. We have a unique opening at the Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center on the campus of NHTI in Concord. As a laboratory school, the Mary Stuart Gile Early Learning Center is a demonstration setting for best practices in early childhood education, with student teachers working alongside staff in classrooms.
 
 
We are seeking energetic, organized, and experienced early childhood educators to help students grow in the field while providing high-quality, emergent curriculum for young children. We currently have an opening for a full-time Associate Teacher position. The Associate Teacher position is responsible for upholding and implementing the BGCCNNH mission, supporting children and teachers, and ensuring the health and safety of the children. Some key responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: actively engaging with children, assisting with cleaning and organizing the classroom, and documenting child observations. To provide the best possible childcare experience for youth ages 3-5 participating in the Little Feathers Program. This position will support and provide coverage for other early childhood education programs including Head Start. It will also support the overall functions of the Youth Education Program and Youth Opportunities Program.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintain a physically and emotionally safe, orderly environment.
2. Assist Head Start Lead Teacher, Teacher Assistants, Youth Education Coordinator and Youth Opportunities Coordinator with classroom preparation and clean up.
3. Participate in daily classroom activities and routines, including field trips and other off-site trips.
4. Model/use positive interaction with children, including verbal and body language.
5. Use developmentally appropriate practices.
6. Work to ensure good self-concept in all children.
7. Model behavior management skills.
8. Accept classroom responsibility and duties as scheduled.
9. Interact appropriately with parents.
10. Be knowledgeable of all youth programming health and safety policies, procedures and Head Start performance standards.
11. Responsible for the sanitation and abiding by safety guidelines in all classroom areas.
12. Maintain documentation on all busses or Learning Center vehicles used to transport children to ensure they are following appropriate standards.
13. Maintain a positive attitude regarding the Little Feathers Program philosophy.
14. Model behaviors that demonstrate an understanding, acceptance and welcoming of diversity.
15. Maintain respect and positive communication regarding all children and families.
16. Assist in the CACFP and USDA food service programs.
17. Maintain Little Feathers program binder.
18. Prepare activities and gather supplies for projects.
19. Accept suggestions and guidance from supervisor.
20. Attend in-house trainings, staff meetings and other meetings as required.
21. Commit to further training as identified in individual training plans.
22. Other duties as assigned.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

1. High School Diploma or GED required.
2. Two years of professional experience working with preschool age children. Experience working with older youth, preferred.
3. Childcare Development Associate certification (CDA) preferred.
4. CPR/ First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire, required.

<div>Case manager applicants should have strong knowledge of child welfare protective services issues and the needs of high risk, vulnerable families. Client families are identified by the Department of Human Services based on concerns regarding parenting skills and ability to maintain children in a safe environment. This case manager will assist families in developing parenting practices and skills that reduce safety risks and enhance ability to provide a nurturing environment for children. The case manager works with families who have in-home safety needs, in-home non-safety needs as well as children/youth with out of home placement needs including Resource Home Care, Kinship Home Care and Congregate Care settings. The case manager is responsible for ensuring the Improving Outcomes for Children outcomes are achieved for families served on their case load through direct interventions provided; coordinating delivery of services with CUA team members, subcontractor provider team members, and a wide variety of community based resources.
