Division/Program Summary:

The Bureau of Childcare ensures that childcare services in New York City operate in compliance with the New York City Health Code and New York State Social Service regulations and are licensed or permitted as required by law. The Bureau routinely monitors childcare programs to protect the health and safety of children while in the childcare environment and actively works to improve and expand access to high quality programs which support early childhood development and learning.

The Bureau seeks to hire an Associate Public Health Sanitarian to ensure that childcare services throughout New York City operate within regulatory compliance.<br>

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

<ul><li>Assign, supervise and evaluate the work of Childcare Inspectors.</li><li>Ensure adherence to and enforcement of appropriate regulations, protocols and procedures for the proper conduct of field inspections and monitoring visits.</li><li>Conduct monitoring (follow-up) visits and accompany staff to programs to evaluate performance.</li><li>Conduct inspections of a special or difficult nature, issue notices of violation, and make recommendations for issuance or denial of childcare permits and/or closure of programs having imminent health hazards.</li><li>Review childcare databases and case files for timely, accurate and complete entries.</li><li>Respond to verbal and written inquiries from the public and other city and state agencies.</li><li>Train and coach new staff and provide reinforcement training to current staff in Bureau protocols, procedures and regulations.</li></ul><br>

The Case Management Supervisor leads a team of Case Managers in providing oversight and services to children and families. The Case Management Supervisor ensures the team follows agency policy, the Texas Family Code and Minimum Standards of child placing agencies. This position interacts routinely with clients, judges, attorneys, children, school personnel and all other aspects of the community.</p>
<p>
The role of the Case Management Supervisor is a position requiring daily assessment and decision-making of child safety issues, and permanency. Case Manager Supervision requires initiative to independently organize and manage numerous tasks associated with the position. This role also requires routine interaction with Texas Department of Family and Protective Services staff, parents, children, youth, caregivers, contract providers, civil and criminal court personnel, community representatives, and other partner agencies.</p>

<p><b>Qualifications</b></p>
<p><b>1. Education/Credentials/Licensure:
</b></p><div><ul><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree from an accredited college or university.</li></ul>
<ul><li>Valid state driver&rsquo;s license, safe driving record, and current auto insurance.</li></ul>
</div>
<p><b>2. Experience:
</b></p><div><ul><li>Three (3) years of documented full-time experience with the Department of Family and Protective Services, with a SSCC, in a child-placing agency, in a residential child-care operation, or as a conservatorship caseworker or foster adoptive home development worker for the department. The experience must be in conducting assessments, service planning, or case management duties.</li></ul>

The Paragon Supervisor works closely with the Nutritional Services Manager and assumes their responsibilities in their absence. They assist with tracking and stocking inventory, preparing products, and assisting with hiring. This individual will be trained in all areas of the Paragon. Their primary responsibilities are to manage the day to day operations of the Paragon. They assist with covering shifts, schedules, training, and finding coverage for call offs. This is a working supervisor position and my need to cover shifts for call offs or when we have short staff.</p><ul><li><b>
Classification: </b>Exempt</li><li><b>
Schedule: </b>Mon-Fri 6:00am - 2:30pm, 5 days a week and on call every 3rd weekend.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>
