We are currently seeking a Contract Adoption Specialist (PRN) to work directly with clients in community settings in the San Antonio, Texas area. The Adoption Specialist will guide expectant parents and adoptive families through the adoption process, ensuring that each placement is handled with care, diligence, and ethical integrity.

This is a 1099 contract position designed for professionals who can independently manage adoption-related responsibilities on an as-needed basis. The NC Department of Health and Human Services seeks contract resources to assist with the training and implementation of the Child Welfare Information System (CWIS). The primary purposes of the trainer/content developer is to analyze the CWIS functionality to develop and deliver classroom facilitator-led learning solutions and eLearning courses to support system implementation. In short: You learn the system &rarr; make training content &rarr; teach people how to use itKey Responsibilities<ul><li>Learn and understand the Child Welfare Information System (CWIS) and its real-world use by social services staff</li><li>Develop training materials: user guides, presentations, job aids, and eLearning courses</li><li>Design training content for adult learners, including interactive modules (videos, simulations, quizzes)</li><li>Deliver classroom, virtual, and webinar-based training sessions</li><li>Update and maintain training materials as the system evolves</li><li>Collaborate with Training Lead, Business/Agile teams, Developers, and SMEs</li><li>Review training content for accuracy and quality</li><li>Track learner progress and provide feedback or additional training recommendations</li><li>Support training logistics (scheduling, registration, session setup)</li></ul>Required Skills &amp; Experience<ul><li>3+ years of experience developing and delivering adult training</li><li>Experience with government or social services systems</li><li>Strong written and verbal communication skills</li><li>Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint</li><li>Experience with Learning Management Systems (e.g., Moodle)</li><li>Experience designing eLearning and computer-based training</li></ul>Preferred Skills<ul><li>Experience with Child Welfare, NC FAST, or Medicaid systems</li><li>Basic knowledge of HTML/XML and web technologies</li><li>Familiarity with Adobe tools (Captivate, FrameMaker, Camtasia)</li></ul>Job Type: ContractPay: $30.00 - $34.00 per hourWork Location: In person
