</p><ul><li>Serves as first point of service for patrons entering the building or calling the library for assistance, referring to other departments as necessary. May encounter irate patrons or handle emergency situations.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:</b><ul><li>
Regularly lifts, carries, pushes and/or pulls 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting, pushing and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.</li><li>
Work requires standing for prolonged periods of time.</li><li>
Duties are primarily performed in an office environment, at a desk or at a computer terminal.</li></ul><p><b>

An associate degree in library science or comparable library/media technician program and two years of responsible library/media experience is preferred. Two or more years of experience with operation of computers using a Windows-based environment and Microsoft Office and its applications.</p></div><p></p>

<p></p><div><p>The desired start date is August 2026. This is a full-time, 37-hour, classified, 12-month position.<br>

<b>Work Schedule:</b> Monday - Thursday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., and Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.<br>
