The role
We are seeking a motivated Civil Supervisor to join our team for one of our key hydropower projects based in Peshawar. This entry-level position offers valuable hands-on experience in civil engineering, focusing on project execution, planning, and construction management. The ideal candidate will assist in the coordination and implementation of civil engineering activities, ensuring the timely completion of tasks while adhering to quality and safety standards. This is an excellent opportunity to work on a high-impact project, contributing to the development of sustainable energy solutions.<ul><li>
Assist in the planning, design, and execution of civil engineering activities for the hydropower project.</li><li>
Coordinate with project teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.</li><li>
Monitor the progress of construction activities and report any deviations from the schedule.</li><li>
Ensure that all civil engineering work is carried out in compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and quality standards.</li><li>
Conduct site inspections to verify that work is progressing as per design and project requirements.</li><li>
Prepare and maintain project documentation, including reports, drawings, and materials specifications.</li><li>
Assist in managing project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment.</li><li>
Support senior engineers in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on-site.</li></ul>
With a track record of achievement in a related role, you will have gained your experience in a consultancy environment and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:<ul><li>
Tertiary qualifications or a related discipline (e.g. B.Sc in Civil Engineering)</li><li>
Minimum 02 year of relevant experience in civil engineering or construction projects.</li><li>
Proficiency in civil engineering design software (AutoCAD, Civil 3D, etc.)</li><li>
Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.</li><li>
Good communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team.</li></ul>

 Major Accountabilities and Tasks:

 Monitor the EPC contractor in order to ensure quality, safety, schedule and compliance to approved design. He will lead site inspections.

 Establish the site office, identify resourcing requirements, organize the Supervision Team and oversee responsibilities of HSE, cost control, supervision and document control procedures.

 Ensure all required permits from all governmental agencies are secured and valid and available on site prior to commencing works.

 Review and implement all relevant project plans including construction program, QA &amp; QC Plan and organizational chart.

 <li>
 Evaluate, select, and adopt suitable construction supervision techniques, quality control procedures, and continuous improvement measures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review contractor's submittals including materials, method statements, inspection and test plans, inspection requests, requests for information (RFI) and provides timely responses.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review and respond to the change orders and contractor's monthly invoices.
 </li>
 <li>
 Coordinate with relevant stakeholders to carry out commissioning activities.
 </li>
 <li>
 Interpret drawings, specifications and consult with contractors (if required) to ensure compliance with the program.
 </li>
 <li>
 Rectify any errors revealed in the detailed design or the working drawings.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supervise inspection, testing and commissioning,
 </li>
 <li>
 Oversee site safety, health, and environmental aspects regularly to ensure a safe, environmentally friendly site environment with zero man-hour loss.
 </li>
 <li>
 Maintain records of site activities, progress, non-conformities, remedial actions, follow-up history, near-miss cases, lessons learned, and interface cases at the site level.
 </li>
 <li>
 Perform site progress meetings and attend monthly meetings if required by the Project Management.
 </li>
 <li>
 Certify all report of materials, certify site progress reports, all inspections performed and attended by him or his team at site, joint measurement certificates to certify the progress of works and related invoicing. Acceptance tests and commissioning shall be carried out by the Contractor and shall be supervised by the civil engineer.
