Responsibilities:
*Maintains established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, quality assurance program, safety, environmental, and infection control standards. *Performs terminal cleaning procedures of the OR rooms and prepares room for next case. *Cleans and disinfects floors with required protocol. *Moves equipment and furniture in OR rooms in accordance with cleaning procedures. *Gathers and disposes of trash and waste materials. *Participates in educational programs and inservice meetings. Obtains and maintains OR cleaning certification. *Buffs, strips, waxes, polishes, and top scrubs floors. *Performs regular housekeeping duties in non-patient OR areas.
Qualifications:
Less than high school. Two years of housekeeping experience and complete an OR certification program within 9 months of employment.

SPECIFIC DUTIES:
Weld Clean<ul><li>
Must be able to identify the welds on the casting and blend the weld to the correct the defect in the casting.</li><li>
Must be able to check weld with penetrant and blacklight to identify areas that need corrected to conform to the standard of the casting.</li><li>
Must be able to use Acetone and developer to recheck the defect with a blacklight to ensure the defect has been corrected.</li><li>
Must be able to identify the correct tools for each weld specific to the casting.</li><li>
Must be able to work independently but able to communicate between departments.</li></ul>
X Ray Dig<ul><li>
Must be able to identify the defects in the casting and compare it to the Xray.</li><li>
Must be able to work independently but be able to communicate with multiple departments when necessary.</li><li>
Must be able to blend or dig out the defects from the casting per the Xray Reader&rsquo;s instruction.</li></ul>
