<div>Lake Tahoe Community College (LTCC) announces an opportunity to work part-time in the Administration area as the Office Assistant. Under the director of the Vice President of Academic Affairs, the office assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties including serving as the first point of contact for students and community members entering the administration office, processing timesheets and supporting some key projects for the instruction office, answering phones, and providing general clerical and research support as needed. In addition, this position will assist the Vice President of Academic Affairs on special projects as assigned.

<b>COMPENSATION</b><b>:</b><br>
<b>Salary Range:</b> LTCC offers a competitive compensation package that includes a starting placement salary of <b>$30,113</b> to <b>$33,243</b> annually, dependent on education and experience. There is potential to reach $38,583 annually, through step advancement plus longevity when appropriate. In addition to base salary, this position qualifies for extra bilingual (Spanish), masters or doctorate pay.<br>

<b>Benefits:</b> LTCC also matches 27% of an eligible employee&rsquo;s salary and contributes it into a CalPERS pension account for qualifying employees.<br>
<br>
<b>Work-Life Balance: </b>This is a part-time position working 28 hours per week. Hours are expected to be Monday-Friday, five to six hours per day generally within the hours of 8:00 am to 5:00 pm, hours may vary according to the needs of the program. This position is eligible for overtime compensation (non-exempt). This position is not eligible for telecommuting due to the front-facing nature of the role.<br>

LTCC provides a generous leave package including 17 paid holidays per year plus 12 days vacation (with the potential to reach 24 days through years of service) and 12 days sick leave per year for full-time position. The Office Assistant provides clerical functions including answering phones, assisting customers, and providing information. It is distinguished from the Administrative Assistant by the decision making authority and reporting relationship.<br>

<b>Representative Duties:</b><br>
Receive and screen telephone calls and visitors; assist customer by answering questions or providing information; refer individuals to appropriate personnel as required; take and distribute messages; perform general clerical duties; type materials; compose flyers; perform data entry; order and maintain supplies; prepare purchase requisitions; monitor expenditures for department; collect appropriate fees and prepare accounting records.<br>
