5. Enters orders into the electronic medical record (EMR) system or prepares prescription refill requests on behalf of the physician for the review and approval by the ordering physician.</p>

6. May perform medical scribe functions as directed by the supervising physician, depending on the needs of the department.</p>

7. Inventories, orders or re-stocks medical supplies as applicable.</p>

8. Provides set-up of examination room and instruments in accordance with proper sterilization techniques established by hospital and infection control policies.</p>

9. Maintains logging system as required for refrigeration of medications, point of care testing, sterilization process, crash cart or others as needed. Checks expiration dates on all medications and medical supplies disposing appropriately as per institution policy.</p>

 The Mechanical Engineering (MEEN) Program of Texas A&amp;M University at Qatar (http://www.qatar.tamu.edu/) invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the assistant level. The position is in the areas of robotics and autonomous systems, with preference given to candidates with expertise in emerging technologies with novel theoretical developments and practical applications, such as industrial robotics; control, autonomous systems; intelligent robotics for exploration, manufacturing, and construction; advanced sensor and actuation technologies; mechatronics and human-machine interaction and applications of artificial intelligence to robotics and autonomous systems. Faculty at Texas A&amp;M University Qatar Campus (TAMUQ) are of two types: instructional track and research track. This position is a research-track position at the assistant level. The official title for this position is Research Assistant Professor, with the working title of Engineering Assistant Professor. Research-track faculty at TAMUQ are expected to teach undergraduate and graduate courses and develop an independent research program, as well as to engage through scholarship within the university and their discipline.

 This non-tenure track position assumes a 9-month academic appointment with an anticipated start date of Spring 2024 or Fall 2024, depending on the applicant's availability. The hired faculty member is eligible to receive a startup package that covers the summer salary for three years. Following this period, faculty members at Texas A&amp;M at Qatar have a 9-month appointment and may cover the salary of the remaining months from externally funded grants and/or teaching and services.

 The Mechanical Engineering Program at Texas A&amp;M University at Qatar (hqatar.tamu.edu/programs/mechanical-engineering/) currently has 10 faculty members who have a strong commitment to teaching, research, and service. The program benefits from state-of-the-art facilities and instrumentation supporting its key educational and research missions. There is support in Qatar for research from Qatar National Research Fund and industry. Faculty members may advise graduate students enrolled in degree programs at Texas A&amp;M University.

 The ideal candidate should possess a doctorate degree in mechanical engineering or a closely related field. The candidate should have a demonstrated scholarly record in the area of robotics and smart systems with a relevant Ph.D. dissertation and publications in reputable journals. The successful candidate is expected to have a strong commitment to teaching excellence, developing a viable research program, and service at the professional and institutional levels.
