Responsibilities:</b></p><ul><li>
Provide single session telephonic and video counselling, in-the-moment support and crisis telephonic management in a supportive, ethical and professional manner while maintaining client-confidentiality.</li><li>

Assess and manage high risk calls and working closely with individuals at risk.</li><li>
Appropriately refer clients to external resources or within WPO as part of our holistic approach.</li><li>

Maintain clear clinical and task-oriented documentation in case management system.</li><li>

Qualifications/Skills:</b></p><p>
To excel in this role, you will need the following qualifications and skills:</p><ul><li>
Social worker, Counselor or Psychologist with accompanying Master&rsquo;s degree</li><li>
Minimum 2 years direct client-contact providing counseling or mental health services</li><li>
Experience providing assessments and/or using clinical assessment tools.</li><li>
Experience using short-term counselling modalities such as Solution-Focused, CBT, Mindfulness,</li><li>
Integrative, Systemic counselling.</li><li>
Training in crisis intervention and supporting high risk clients beneficial.</li><li>

Position Overview</b></p>
<p>
We are seeking a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) to provide psychotherapy and psychosocial support to residents in skilled nursing facilities. The LCPC will conduct assessments, deliver individual and group therapy, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team (IDT) and ensure regulatory compliance.</p>

Key Responsibilities</b></p>

</b></p><p><b>WORKING TITLE: Counselor</b></p><p>
</p><p>This Master's Level Counselor will be serving the Oneonta City School System. This counselor will provide assessment, individual therapy and group therapy, conflict resolution and other mental health services to identified students in the Oneonta City School system with severe emotional and/or behavioral problems that are interfering with their functioning at school and/or home. This counselor will also provide mental health care coordination for the Oneonta City School System.

</p><p><b>Division: </b>Children's Services</p><p><b>
Normal Working Hours/Days: </b>Monday-Friday 8-5 with flexibility to meet client/family need.</p><p>
</p><p><b>Primary Job Functions</b></p><p>
Responsible for interviewing, evaluating and assessing for mental health and other appropriate needs of children/families.</p><p>
Responsible for properly assessing the unmet needs of the target population and devising an individualized service plan for each client.</p><p>
Collaborates closely with the staff of the Oneonta City School System, as well as other community resources, in order to provide or access appropriate services to meet the needs of the target population (mental health services, school/special education service, etc.)</p><p>
Responsible for individual group and family therapy with emphasis on behavior modification, Strategic Family Therapy, parent education and other therapeutic approaches as appropriate to treatment needs.</p><p>
Provides accurate documentation of charts on a daily basis in an electronic medical record, including clinical assessments, case plans, treatment plans, referrals, data collections, case reviews and follow up tracking.</p><p>
Responsible for providing and presenting clinical assessments and treatment goals at weekly staffings with supervisor.</p><p>
Provides transportation to children and families when appropriate.</p><p>
Performs other administrative duties as required.</p><p>
</p><p><b>Minimum Qualifications</b></p><p>
Master's degree in psychology, social work or counseling with an emphasis on clinical service for children and adolescents. Licensure preferred.
</p><p>Two years&rsquo; experience working with children/adolescents with a serious emotional disturbance and their families in a community setting with an emphasis on clinical services is preferred.</p><p>
Valid Alabama driver's license and driving record acceptable to agency automobile insurance carrier for inclusion on agency policy. Suitable automobile to permit the required travel. Must show and maintain car insurance equal to or in excess of the State of Alabama standards for automobile insurance coverage.</p><p>
</p><p><b>Knowledge, Skills and Abilities</b></p><p>
Knowledge of the special needs and behavioral characteristics of children/adolescents with a serious emotional disturbance and their families.</p><p>
Knowledge of psychotherapy principals and techniques.</p><p>
Knowledge of psychotropic medications, including their uses and side effects.</p><p>
Ability to perform individual, group and family therapy to include behavior modification, parent education and problem-solving skills.</p><p>
Ability to make clinical decisions/recommendations in crisis situations regarding children/adolescents with a serious emotional disturbance and their families.
</p><p>Ability to communicate effectively with a multi-disciplinary team to include Department of Human Resources, Juvenile Probation Office/ Family Court, School Staff, and other mental health professionals.</p><p>

</b></h2><p>The University of Wisconsin-Platteville University Counseling Services is accepting applications for one or more <b>Counselors </b>. A counselor provides clinical counseling (individual, couples and group) to students, incorporating a brief therapeutic model to address the emotional and behavioral health needs of students as well as provides outreach, prevention and consultation services for the campus community. Working comfortably both individually and as a team member, counselors assist with developmental programming to increase healthy lifestyle and coping behaviors across campus and provide support and advocacy for university mental health policy and initiatives.
</p><p></p><p>This is a full time position working 10 months out of the year with a break during the summer months. This position involves work expectations outside of normal office hours (night hours, weekend commitments, travel out-of-town, etc.).

</b></h2><p><i>Counseling
</i></p><ul><li><p>Provide individual, group, or couples counseling to students struggling with developmental and/or personal health issues by adhering to a brief psychotherapy model that is time sensitive and goal oriented.
</p></li><li><p>Administer and interpret assessments and screening inventories given to students in conjunction with individual or group counseling.
</p></li><li><p>Provide limited crisis intervention with students and support for other involved people during business hours.
</p></li><li><p>Refer students to appropriate community resources.
</p></li><li><p>Consult with the director and other UCS staff regularly regarding case management issues.
</p></li><li><p>Provide professional consultation and/or information and referral services to faculty and staff.

</i></p><ul><li><p>Develop, plan and facilitate outreach and success programming to educate and increase awareness of the mental health needs of college-age students to promote a healthy campus.

</b></h2><p><i>Required:
</i></p><ul><li><p>Master&rsquo;s degree in counseling, psychology, social work or related field completed by start date.
</p></li><li><p>Professional licensure as either Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) or eligible for licensure in Wisconsin within 6 months.
</p></li><li><p>Experience providing generalist mental health counseling.
</p></li><li><p>Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
</p></li><li><p>Attention to detail and accuracy.
</p></li><li><p>Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion, particularly in matters relative to sensitive or confidential student records, personnel, or organizational matters.
</p></li><li><p>Ability to work scheduled hours with flexibility, including some occasional evenings and weekends.
