 Responsibilities
 
 
 
 Reporting to the Department Head, the successful candidate will be responsible for the development, delivery and evaluation of a broad range of courses in nursing, including medical-surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health, and high intensity neonatal care. S/he will evaluate student progress and manage the resources of the learning environment either in classroom, laboratory and clinical setting.
 
 
 The successful candidate will liaise with industry and other educational institutions; participate in industry advisory committees and coordinate, manage and control projects within the specified program area. Faculty members will keep course portfolio documents required for accreditation processes and engage in instructional development/improvement plans. All employees are expected to contribute to professional and community life within the University and beyond.

 Education and Experience Requirements
 
 
 
 Appointment will be made at the Lecturer or Senior Lecturer rank, depending on the candidate&rsquo;s qualifications and experience. Minimum criteria are outlined below.

 A Master&rsquo;s degree in Nursing or in a related health field (specialization in medical-surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, mental health, or high intensity neonatal care preferred).

 Candidates whose master&rsquo;s degree is not in nursing must hold a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in nursing.
 </li>

 All candidates must be registered nurses in good standing with the regulatory body in their home or country of employment and must be eligible for licensing with Qatar&rsquo;s Department of Healthcare Professions.

 A minimum of five (5) years recent full-time equivalent clinical practice.
