This role serves as a clinical expert and quality leader focused on improving patient outcomes related to heart failure, acute myocardial infarction (AMI), percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI), and other cardiovascular conditions. The coordinator collaborates closely with physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing, pharmacy, rehabilitation, case management, and leadership to drive evidence-based practice, reduce readmissions, decrease length of stay, lower mortality, and improve overall cardiovascular performance.

</b></p><p>Current Indiana or compact state RN License.
</p><p>Graduate of an approved nursing program with a Bachelor&rsquo;s Degree in Nursing.
</p><p>Minimum three years of cardiovascular nursing or related clinical experience.

</p><p>Strong analytical, organizational, communication, and project management skills.
</p><p>Heart Failure Nursing Certification (CHFN), PCCN, CCRN, or equivalent specialty certification, preferred.

</b></p><p>The Clinical Program Coordinator will successfully complete the hospital and nursing orientation at CNMC. Will coordinate nursing care and services for patients and family members in specific healthcare specialty encounters by telephonic, electronic, in person, and/or by mail. Will consult with physicians, and other healthcare providers to resolve health concerns.<br>

All nursing practice is based on the legal scope of practice, national and specialty nursing standards, CNMC Policies and Procedures, and in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. The Professional Model of Care requires registered professional nurses to be responsible and accountable for their own practice. CNMC support the development of RN relationships within the community, specifically those relationships associated with the health and well being of the community at large. Responsible to lead the activities of the patient care delivery team for specific patient population. Provide continuous accountability to assess, plan, implement and evaluate clinical care and ensure that continuity of care is maintained.<br>

MAJOR FUNCTIONS:</b></p><p>
The Clinical Training Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and delivering in-service training; acting as system administrator for the electronic learning management system; and as Program Director for grant-funded opioid overdose prevention program. Maintains the organization&rsquo;s NYS OASAS Training and Education and NYSED OP SW and MHC provider certification and assures that training and documentation reflect the requirements of each oversight body.</li><li>
Serves as liaison for training delivered by consultants; develops contract agreements and assures course content is well integrated with current clinical practices.</li><li>
Coordinates activities related to opioid overdose response preparedness; acts as Program Director for grant funded opioid overdose prevention program.

REQUIREMENTS: EDUCATION/TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES</b></h4><ul><li>
Master&rsquo;s Degree in a behavioral health discipline with NYS licensure (LMSW, LCSW or LMHC or comparable scope of practice) is required.</li><li>
Experience with delivery of training in a healthcare or behavioral health setting preferred.</li></ul><ul><li>
Proficiency with computer operation (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other MS Office programs) required.</li><li>
Must demonstrate excellent written, verbal, interpersonal and organizational skills.</li><li>

The <b>Clinical Research Coordinator ASCEND Trainee</b> is primarily responsible for ensuring that all administrative and clinical aspects of a study are completed in a timely and compliant manner. This role also ensures that all study related communication and education activities are completed efficiently and effectively. In addition to gaining work experience, participants will learn more about clinical research careers, providing them with the option to remain in the clinical research support pipeline. For participants who wish to pursue higher education, in Year 2 of the program they will have additional support to help navigate the graduate/medical school application process through seminars, rotations, and career mentorship.</div><div></div><div><br>

Responsibilities:

Participant Coordination &amp; Clinical Support</b></div><ul><li>
Review study candidates&rsquo; medical records in detail for study eligibility</li><li>
Initiate scheduling of participant clinic visits and ongoing study visits; attend participant visits as needed to ensure clinical procedures, lab tests, and other protocol-specific activities are completed as outlined</li><li>
Ensure study drug self-administration and accountability with patients, perform non-clinical ECGs, administer study questionnaires, and other protocol-driven non-clinical assessments</li><li>
Serve as liaison for Investigational Drug Services (IDS) on drug assignment, dispensation information, and maintain regular communication regarding participant status</li><li>
As needed, complete requisition forms, assemble kits for research visits, transport laboratory samples, ensure processing/shipping per study guidelines, and maintain research supplies</li><li>
