The Center for Women&rsquo;s Mental Health is a clinical and research program within the Department of Psychiatry at Massachusetts General Hospital. Our Program is dedicated to the evaluation and treatment of psychiatric disorders associated with female reproductive function. The Center provides a range of clinical services to women which include: consultation regarding the use of psychiatric medications during pregnancy; treatment for postpartum mood and anxiety disorders; treatment for premenstrual syndrome; and treatment of menopause related mood and anxiety symptoms, sleep disorders, and hot flashes. The goal of our research division is to examine a wide range of questions which affect the lives of women with psychiatric conditions. Our research projects mirror the span of our center&rsquo;s clinical expertise. The research coordinators in our Program are each assigned 1-2 active research projects and are responsible for the implementation of those projects under the guidance of the principal investigator(s) and the supervision of the senior research coordinator.</p><p></p><p>
Currently, our group is made up of seven research coordinators, a research program manager, project manager, program coordinator, biostatistician, psychologist, and eleven psychiatrists. Three of our faculty are principal investigators. The research coordinators work closely with the study principal investigators and meet once a week as a group to review study progress and once a week to review clinical cases. This is a full-time hourly position with a 9:00-5:30 workday and a &frac12; hour unpaid lunch. Our Program is located in the Simches Research Building in a combined administrative and clinical space.</p><p></p><p><b><br>

Ongoing studies within the program include investigations of the efficacy and safety of novel treatments for depression, as well as research aimed at understanding the biological and behavioral mechanisms underlying the course of illness. Clinical Research Coordinator II

Boston Children's Hospital

<p>The Neurofibromatosis Research Initiative (NFRI) within the Division of Genetics and Genomics at Boston Children&rsquo;s Hospital is seeking a Clinical Research Assistant to facilitate recruitment of participants in clinical research studies related to Neurofibromatosis Type 1 (NF1). NF1 is a genetic condition that causes a variety of symptoms that include the development of tumors. The NFRI&rsquo;s mission is to advance preclinical research towards effective clinical management of NF1. We are currently recruiting participants for three clinical research projects. First, we are recruiting all local patients with NF1 to participate in biobanking of samples to support research on NF1. Second, we are recruiting participants to determine the recurrence risk of NF1 among parents of children with NF1 who do not have, and also among adults who do have NF1. Third, we are recruiting participants with NF1 who are at higher risk of NF1-related tumors to prospectively collect blood samples that will be analyzed for early markers of tumor development (a so-called &ldquo;liquid biopsy&rdquo;). In collaboration with other research groups, we hope to demonstrate that this liquid biopsy will offer a cost-effective method for tumor early detection and lead to improved patient outcomes. The person in this position will work as part of a small but dedicated clinical research team to recruit participants and collect samples to support these studies. Reporting to the Vice President of Publishing and supervising the Production Coordinator and Genealogists of the Newbury Street Press, we seek someone who is highly organized, detail oriented, and flexible to serve as Supervising Editor at our Boston office. This is an exempt, full-time regular position supporting the Publications team with the development, writing, editing, and production of books, and the editing of The New England Historical and Genealogical Register, our quarterly scholarly journal.
