 Essential Job Functions

 Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in the Clinical Psychology and Mental Health program such as Abnormal Psychology, Clinical Assessment, Psychopathology, Counseling Techniques, and Psychotherapy.
 </li>
 <li>
 Conduct research and other scholarly activities in the areas of clinical psychology, mental health, psychotherapy, psychological assessment, or related fields.
 </li>
 <li>
 Advance and disseminate knowledge through publication in high-quality, peer-reviewed journals relevant to clinical psychology and mental health.
 </li>
 <li>
 Advise, mentor, and supervise graduate students and/or undergraduate in seminars, tutorials, internships, and research projects.
 </li>
 <li>
 Design and implement experiential learning activities (e.g, clinical simulations, role-plays, supervised practice, case studies) to support the development of clinical competencies.
 </li>
 <li>
 Participate in the ongoing development and periodic review of program curricula and practicum components to ensure alignment with academic standards and accreditation requirements.

 Use strategies and skills necessary to support student learning and prepare and delivers current and relevant course material in an understandable and motivating manner

 Continually assess course objectives and instructional methods to improve teaching and learning
 </li>
 <li>
 Use formative and summative assessments of student learning within assigned courses to inform instruction and improve student attainment of course objectives and program outcomes

 Demonstrate a familiarity with a variety of instructional delivery methods, including digital platforms, group activities, and portfolios to provide educational content and opportunities supported by evidence-based research and individual expertise

 Support ADU&rsquo;s outcomes initiatives by working to refine and revise course assignments and evaluation tools and participating in data analysis discussions to make program and course improvements

 Facilitate development and revision of curricula and courses, assuring alignment within the program description and outcomes, course objectives and content, as well as university/Commission for Academic Accreditation curriculum standards

 Minimum Qualifications
 
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 PhD in Clinical Psychology from an internationally accredited university, preferably from top 200 universities as per the QS World University Rankings 2022
 </li>
 <li>
 Expertise in clinical psychology and mental health, its clinical applications, clinical assessments, diagnosis, and interventions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Record of successful teaching at postgraduate or undergraduate level in the field of Clinical Psychology and Mental Health.
 </li>
 <li>
 Clinical Psychologist license with DOH/ DHA / HCPC UK / United States practice license or its eligibility to apply for licensure.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proven record of teaching, program planning, and problem-solving skills
 </li>
 <li>
 A record of peer-reviewed publications
 </li>
 <li>
 Familiarity with or ability to become familiar with the grant university system and its mission on academic excellence and community outreach

Department/Division Overview

Comprised of six academic divisions, Critical Care, Pain, Cardiothoracic, OB, Ambulatory and General Anesthesia, the Department provides comprehensive anesthesia services throughout the health system, including off-site and regional locations. The department is deeply invested in teaching and training, offering four ACGME-accredited fellowships in cardiothoracic anesthesiology, critical care anesthesiology, obstetric anesthesiology, pain medicine and regional anesthesiology as well as additional fellowships in neuroanesthesiology and Executive Leadership and Business in Anesthesiology. An additional ACGME accredited fellowship in Pediatric Anesthesiology is offered in partnership with Nationwide Children&rsquo;s Hospital.
