Job Description:

Under the supervision of the director of rehabilitation services, the clinical coordinator will assist in the management and direction of both the inpatient and outpatient departments. One half of the coordinators time is spent in direct patient care in their area of expertise. The candidate will be accountable to define and implement policies and standards for PT, OT, Speech and Audiology. The clinical coordinator will initiate student internships and training programs at NHC facilities, coordinate development of current professional and work with individual therapists to develop product line specialties.

Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Delegates the administrative authority, responsibility, and accountability necessary for coordinating the clinical flow of his/her core care team;.</li><li>
Documents calls; returns patient phone calls; requests medical records that do not pertain to prescribed biologics</li><li>
Schedules nurse visits that do not pertain to prescribed biologics</li><li>
Screens calls regarding reactions to biologics and responds to refill requests and new prescriptions that do not pertain to prescribed biologics</li><li>
Draws injections</li><li>
Documents procedures assessments and ultrasound diagnostic procedures</li><li>
Draws and processes PRP</li><li>
Orders physical therapy and outside imaging</li><li>
Manages inbox and researches provider notes to provide medical guidance for patients</li><li>
Guarantees all MIPS requirements are entered accurately during patient triage</li><li>
Assists in the clinical workflow to ensure efficient throughput time</li><li>
Triages patients; processes samples; administers injectable SQ and IM medications</li><li>
Enters nurse visit notes;</li><li>
Sets up exam rooms for ultrasound procedures and assists providers with ultrasound procedures</li><li>
Cleans and stocks exam rooms</li><li>
Ensures all emergency inbox requests are completed by days end</li></ul>
