 We are seeking experienced applicants for the Clinical Research Coordinator II role at our Watertown location. This role is ideal for coordinators with experience managing one or more trials, supporting day-to-day study operations, and working collaboratively with research staff under guidance from senior team members. The Clinical Research Coordinator II independently manages one or more complex or high-enrolling clinical trials within their portfolio and is responsible for screening performance, study conduct and operational outcomes for assigned studies.

   Independently manage a portfolio of complex and/or high-volume trials with guidance from a CRC III or the Site Manager, leading all operational and visit-related activities.

   Fully own study execution, including screening operations, enrollment progress, screening vs. target metrics, and SCF rates.

   Conduct all participant visits, clinical procedures, and eligibility assessments per protocol.

   Lead study start-up activities for assigned studies, including SIV preparation, regulatory readiness, supply planning, and supporting site completion of required staff training.

The<b> Clinical Research Coordinator II</b> (CRC II) is responsible for day-to-day management of oncology clinical trials. The position will oversee all subject-level study workflows including screening patients for eligibility, coordinating and tracking patient visits and procedures, and creating and maintaining research documentation. The position interfaces with the clinic, providers, investigators, and teams across the clinical research enterprise.</div>
Responsibilities:

POSITION SUMMARY</b><b>:</b></p><p></p><p>
The Department of Psychiatry&rsquo;s Wellness and Recovery After Psychosis Program (WRAP) is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II (CRC II) to assist in the implementation/coordination of schizophrenia clinical trials and epidemiological studies.</p><p></p><p>
The CRC II will coordinate study start-up activities, conduct interviews and data collection, and oversee administrative issues related to ongoing research studies. The main responsibilities of the CRC II include conducting participant recruitment, administering questionnaires, gathering data, managing subject databases, serving as study liaison with regulatory bodies (e.g., Institutional Review Board), and liaising with research collaborators. They also will assist with new grant proposal submission and preparation of research reports and presentations.</p><p></p><p>
This position is ideal for someone interested in pursuing a career in medicine, psychology, or public health and looking to make a substantial contribution to a well-established research team that provides ample opportunities for development and growth. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:</b></p><ul>

Oversee recruitment efforts for research studies</li>
<li>Conducts the enrollment of study participants, including explaining research procedures &amp; protocols, and obtaining informed consent of subjects and/or their families.</li>
<li>Schedules appointments of study participants and conducts reminder calls/messages. Conducts data collection activities with participants</li>
<li>Maintains patient study files in accordance with legal and institutional guidelines.</li>
<li>Reviews data collection forms for each enrollee for completion and quality; checks work of research staff performing data entry to ensure timely and accurate entry</li>
<li>Prepares and maintains Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals and correspondence, including amendments and renewals as necessary</li>
<li>Perform administrative duties associated with the study&rsquo;s Data Monitoring and Safety Board (DSMB), tracking and reporting adverse events and collecting data specified by the DSMB.</li>
<li>Run statistical tests on data using a statistical program (SPSS; generates results and summaries). Provides assistance in the development of manuscripts, reports, grants, presentations and data analysis.</li>
<li>Conducts literature searches and synthesizes information in requested formats.</li>
<li>Assist with the coordination of the collection, processing, organization, and storage of biological specimens in the appropriate systems</li>
<li>Performs office-related duties such as assisting with scheduling team meetings, picking up and delivering mail, storing and distributing office supplies, handling faxes, scanning, filing, photocopying, collating materials, and maintaining the update of policy manuals</li>

JOB SUMMARY
<br>Works under the direction of an Investigator(s) with limited supervision, to coordinate research projects. This position primarily performs patient/participant coordination, however, may conduct data management in smaller departments on as needed basis. Collects and ensures quality control of clinical or basic research data in support of multiple and/or complex research studies.

The Clinical Research Coordinator II will serve as the foundational team member in the growing, translational Center for Inborn Errors of Immunity. Reporting directly to the Principal Investigator, the CRC II will take on a diverse set of responsibilities in true translational research that spans bench and clinical research. Key responsibilities include IRB protocol development and maintenance, patient recruitment and enrollment, clinical visit coordination, sample collection and delivery to sample processing site. Experience in regulatory submissions, IRB protocols, and study start-up. Phlebotomy, sample handling, and biobanking. REDCap proficiency required; experience with Epic and Microsoft Office strongly preferred. Familiarity with data analysis or visualization tools such as R, Stata, SAS, GraphPad Prism, or SPSS is a plus. Ability to work independently and across teams. ACRP or SOCRA certification required (or obtained within the first 6 months of hire).

JOB DUTIES
<br>Directly interacts with clinical research participants, as required, for the research study (non-clinical and clinical procedures). Interacts via telephone, telehealth or in-person.
<br>Coordinates regulatory documentation for research studies that includes maintaining information to comply with industry standards, University policies, FDA requirements or other hospital policies.
<br>Coordinates and schedules procedures as per research study. A non-licensed coordinator may pend study order sets with oversight by PI.
<br>Screens, recruits, enrolls and follows subjects according to research protocol guidelines (non-clinical and clinical procedures). May also assist with the consent processes.
<br>Maintains and coordinates data collection information required for each study that may also include developing CRF's (case report form) or data collection tools.
<br>Assists in developing and implementing research studies, may include writing clinical research protocols.
<br>Conducts research procedures according to the protocol with proper training and check offs to maintain scope of service.
<br>May assist the PI on the fiscal management of the trial including budget preparation.
<br>Monitors patient safety by reviewing records and ensuring appropriate reporting per protocol and HRPP standards.
<br>May perform research billing activities, as needed, based on size of department (including linking patient calendars).
<br>Coordinates data management and collection for national (larger/more complex) research studies or multiple research studies at a given time.
<br>Serves as primary liaison/lead in preparing annual reports for federal, state, and or/or local agencies on assigned studies.
<br>Prepares protocols for Institutional Review Board (IRB) submission. May also submit amendments and continuing review documents.
<br>Provides in-service training to all study team members and communicates to involved groups.
<br>Reviews research study protocols to ensure feasibility requirements of the study.
<br>Assists in developing website or other social media for marketing/recruiting based on assigned clinical research study.
<br>Enters data or assists in assembling data to enter in the assigned clinical trial management system, electronic medical record and/or other required data entry systems.
<br>Maintains required subject documentation for each study protocol.
<br>Duties performed may include one or more of the following core functions: a) Directly interacting with or caring for patients; b) Directly interacting with or caring for human-subjects research participants; c) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting patient records (including patient financial records); or d) Regularly maintaining, modifying, releasing or similarly affecting human-subjects research records.
