What you will do:
<ul><li>Reporting to the Director, Clinical Outcomes Research, design and drive real world evidence studies, including retrospective cohort analyses, claims-linked outcomes studies, PRO studies, and member surveys, owning each from research question through final deliverable.</li>
<li>Identify evidence opportunities across Oura's clinical and commercial portfolio, spanning health, healthcare utilization, and cost outcomes as well as workforce and productivity outcomes relevant to employer partners, and develop study proposals with clear rationale, endpoints, and timelines.</li>
<li>Partner with data science to structure analytic datasets from Oura member data and linked claims data sources, producing outputs that are rigorous enough to publish and clear enough to act on.</li>
<li>Serve as a scientific point of contact for external research partners, including commercial and employers customers, data providers, and academic collaborators, representing Oura's evidence work in cross-organizational study planning and execution.</li>
<li>Design studies that demonstrate the health outcomes and cost impact of proactive, data-driven care.</li>
<li>Shape research findings into outputs for diverse audiences &mdash; including payer briefs, white papers, and partner-facing evidence summaries &mdash; in collaboration with cross-functional teams.</li>
<li>Support IRB submissions and data use agreements in coordination with Research Operations.</li>
<li>Contribute to abstracts/publications and present findings at conferences to advance the clinical credibility of Oura's evidence base.</li>
</ul>This is a remote US role.
Requirements:
We would love to consider you for this role if you have:
<ul><li>Master's degree or PhD in Epidemiology, Public Health, Health Outcomes, or a related field, or an MD; 8+ years of experience in real world evidence research, preferably in wearables.</li>
<li>Demonstrated expertise in observational study design and RWE methods, including retrospective cohort analyses, causal inference, and claims-based research.</li>
<li>Deep, hands-on experience generating evidence from wearable or connected-device data as a primary data source, including the measurement and analytic considerations specific to continuous physiological signals.</li>
<li>Experience with additional real world data sources, including claims, EHR, and registries, and familiarity with data linkage platforms.</li>
<li>Experience with PRO instrument selection and survey study design.</li>
<li>Strong scientific communication skills, with a track record of producing outputs that reach and resonate with clinical, commercial, or payer audiences.</li>
<li>Proven ability to drive a body of evidence to completion independently and work cross-functionally in a fast-moving environment.</li>
<li>Familiarity with health economics and outcomes research (HEOR) methods, including cost and healthcare utilization analyses and economic modeling, is a plus.</li>

 The Center for Brain and Health (CBH) at New York University Abu Dhabi (NYUAD) seeks to recruit a Junior Research Scientist to support innovative clinical and translational research on brain health and disease in diverse populations within the UAE and wider MENA region.
 
 
 The successful applicant will play a central role in the day-to-day execution of human-subjects research studies, working within a multidisciplinary team of faculty investigators, research assistants, clinicians, and students. The position involves coordinating clinical and observational research protocols that integrate advanced neuroimaging, neuromonitoring, and behavioural methods, with a strong emphasis on regulatory compliance, participant safety, and high-quality data collection.
 
 
 Key responsibilities include coordinating participant recruitment and workflow (pre-screening, informed consent, scheduling, and follow-up), maintaining regulatory and ethics documentation, liaising with clinical partners and imaging facilities, and overseeing clinical aspects of MRI, EEG, and MEG sessions. The Junior Research Scientist / Clinical Coordinator will also contribute to the development of standard operating procedures, support training of research assistants and students, track study progress and recruitment metrics, and assist with grant applications, ethics submissions, and progress reporting. The role works closely with dedicated neuroimaging and research assistants who focus on technical data acquisition, imaging pipelines, and analysis, while the Clinical Coordinator leads clinical governance and participant-facing workflows.
 
 
 Applicants must hold a Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in psychology, neuroscience, biomedical sciences, nursing, or a related field; a Master&rsquo;s degree or clinical qualification (e.g., nursing, allied health, clinical psychology) is strongly preferred. Candidates should have 2&ndash;3 years of experience coordinating human-subjects research or clinical trials, ideally in neurology, psychiatry, or related areas, and demonstrated familiarity with ethical and regulatory requirements for human research. Experience working with patient populations and/or in neuroimaging or neuromodulation environments (MRI, EEG, MEG, TMS) is highly advantageous. Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Arabic or other languages spoken in the UAE is an asset.

The Principal research scientist is responsible for coordinating and carrying out the full spectrum of activities related to the development and validation of bioanalytical methods according to client requests and within the required timeframes.

Independently develop, validate and optimize bioanalytical methods or instruct other staff to do so.</li><li>
Drive innovation in the company's bioanalytical techniques.</li><li>
Process, analyze and interpret bioanalytical data and train and instruct staff on appropriate analysis techniques.</li><li>
Find solutions to problems related to the application of bioanalytical methods.</li><li>
Supervise and/or drive improvements in laboratory activity processes (method development and validation).</li><li>
Write and review bioanalytical method SOPs.</li><li>
Review scientific literature in order to guide the development of bioanalytical methods.</li><li>
Document and/or review documentation of activities related to the development and validation of bioanalytical methods.</li><li>
Can be called upon to assist with the training of new employees related to research and development and validation.</li><li>
Assist in competitive intelligence by developing and testing new analytical instruments.</li><li>
Coordinate resources to drive development of bioanalytical methods.</li><li>
Can be called upon to perform all biological sample processing and analysis activities.</li><li>
Can be called upon to supervise the work of laboratory staff.</li><li>
Supervise, coach, and mentor scientific staff.</li><li>
Oversee development of direct reports by setting goals, conducting performance reviews, evaluating and monitoring training needs, creating development plans, mentoring, and coaching.</li><li>
Set priorities and schedule activities of departmental resources, implement company objectives, and create alternative solutions to address business and operational challenges.</li></ul><ul><li>
