About the Opportunity
The Clinical Director oversees the Wellness department with the goal of providing a safe, homelike environment where residents can achieve and maintain their fullest level of wellness and function. The Clinical Director utilizes sound leadership principles to maintain a motivated and stable team. Manages resident health and wellness through regular resident monitoring and communication to the Wellness team, residents&rsquo; primary care providers and other health services providers. Engages in ongoing personal development in geriatric care, leadership skills, communication skills, and leadership skills. May be asked to assume responsibilities of the Executive Director in their absence to maintain smooth community operation.<ul><li>
Ensures compliance with Resident Rights and HIPAA policies at all times. Establishes and maintains positive, respectful, and supportive environment for all residents, employees, families, and community guests. Ensures orientation and welcoming process occurs for all new residents and new team members.</li><li>

Seventy (70) units will house chronically homeless individuals living with serious mental illness (SMI), substance use disorder (SUD), or co-occurring SMI and SUD referred from the New York City Human Resources Administration (HRA). The remaining forty-six (46) units are devoted to Individuals or households who meet the regulatory bodies&rsquo; income and household size requirements / admission criteria. 


Supportive case management services are meant to assist individuals to deal with Daily Living Skill concerns as it relates to maintaining themselves and their apartments. The major goal areas are rehabilitation, mental health, physical health and socialization and the objectives may include budgeting, medication management, crisis intervention, prevocational training, entitlements, supportive counseling, group dynamics and referral to appropriate service providers.

</div><div>Essential Responsibility and Role of a Clinical Coordinator :
<div>The Clinical Coordinator job has two major areas of responsibility. They are to assist and assume when needed the program responsibilities of the Program Director and General Case Management responsibilities. The Clinical Coordinator should be able to assume the role of the Program Director in the event of the Program Director&rsquo;s absence and to assist the Program Director in the performance and duty of the program director&rsquo;s job. Additionally, the Clinical Coordinator will be expected to carry a small caseload providing case management, and supportive counseling and social services and provide supervision to all clinical staff.
