The Nursing Education department provides staff support and education through 24/7 coverage. The Nursing Clinical Educator designs, develops, and implements standardized education to all nursing associates in all patient populations. The Nursing Clinical Educator incorporates evidence-based practice through onboarding, Transition to Practice Nurse Residency, new and continuing education, and simulation scenarios/skills-based learning. The Nursing Clinical Educator uses clinical expertise to collaborate with the healthcare team to support frontline nursing staff ensuring patients receive the highest quality, patient-centered care. The RN, Clinical Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance and coordination of quality patient care on a continuing basis while under the guidance and direction of the Nurse Manager. Coordinates departmental orientation for new employees and students.</p></li><li><p>
Fosters the development of leadership, teamwork, and customer service skills. Works collaboratively with laboratory managers and directors to identify the learning needs of staff to provide educational activities, which meet the needs of staff and achieve expected patient and/or family care outcomes</p></li><li><p>
Employs a variety of interactive teaching strategies.</p></li><li><p>
Evaluates the outcomes of orientation and educational activities in collaboration with staff, and laboratory leadership. Revises learning activities based on results of evaluation.
</p></li><li><p>Completes mandatory and continuing education requirements as defined by the position. Develops, coordinates, assesses, and documents competency testing.
</p></li><li><p>Plans and implements educational seminars and training for system, policy and process changes based on quality evaluations or internal recommendations.
</p></li><li><p>Serves as a resource to employees, physicians, patients, and families. Mentors and actively facilitates the clinical and professional advancement of staff. Models, promotes, and monitors department&rsquo;s sensitivity to customers&rsquo; needs. Serves as a liaison person between laboratory and other departments.</p></li><li><p>
Provides consultation to leadership regarding systems for clinical competency and ongoing professional development of staff. Participates in the development and attainment of goals and objectives.
</p></li><li><p>Maintains the documentation and record keeping system for orientation, continuing education, and competency evaluation in compliance with organizational and external agency requirements.
</p></li><li><p>Participates in outreach education to assure ongoing growth and staff development. Performs job functions adhering to service principles with customer service focus of innovation, service excellence and teamwork to provide the highest quality care and service to our patients, families, co-workers and others.

</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Minimum Requirements:</b></p><p></p><ul><li>
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree, or Masters preferred in a biological or medical science.</li><li>
Three years minimum laboratory experience in hospital setting. MT (ASCP) or equivalent.</li><li>
Supervisory or clinical teaching experience preferred.</li><li>
Possesses effective teaching skills.</li><li>
Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff.</li></ul><p></p><p><b>

Bachelor's Degree: Biomedical Science (Required)<p></p>

Pay Range</b></p>
$70,720.00-$115,627.20 Salary<p></p><p>
