Job Summary:
The Driver Manager is responsible for the successful execution of customer freight delivery and the daily oversight and management of their assigned fleet. This is a leadership position that reports to the Operations Manager or the Terminal Manager, depending on the size of the operation. The Dispatch Manager will participate in; problem identification, solution recognition, and system implementation to improve areas that impact our drivers experience and the quality of our services. Driver &amp; Terminal Connect
<ul><li>Effectively dispatch a fleet using proper procedures for real time management of freight and drivers ensuring high level of data accuracy within the system.</li>
<li>Maintain highest driver relationship and satisfaction of new and tenured drivers by:</li>

<li>Confirm driver plans with drivers (Via Qualcomm and or phone) providing driver with any required information to complete the assignment including special load requirements (Hazmat, specialty equipment, etc.)</li>

The Transportation Supervisor will effectively and efficiently handle customer service complaints and concerns. They will also be responsible for complying with federal, state, and company policies, local laws, transportation programs, and regulations. They will also train new team members in job duties. High comfort level working in a diverse, fast paced environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES
(80%) Assist Transportation Manager in leading the Transportation Team
Leadership:<ul><li>
Recruit and interview new team members</li><li>
Train, coach, and counsel team members</li><li>
Handle all driver concerns in Manager&rsquo;s absence</li><li>
Assist with annual performance appraisals</li><li>
Make recommendations to the Manager for pay increases</li><li>
Attend and participate in annual Leadership &amp; Development training sessions</li><li>
Assist with coordinating safety/team/quarterly meetings</li></ul>
Reporting/Budget:<ul><li>
Assist with all transportation-generated reports</li><li>
Contribute to the development of annual department budget preparation for Director-Supply Chain Center review and approval</li></ul>
Routing, Scheduling, Hours of Service, and Maintenance:<ul><li>
Assist in weekly scheduling of driver routes and re-routing as necessary to ensure route coverage</li><li>
Conduct route analysis and recommend saving opportunities to the Manager</li><li>
Monitor driver hours of service via the onboard system</li><li>
Conduct route observations to ensure Drivers are safely performing their duties as required by company and DOT standards (The number of drivers at the SCC determines the number of observations per period)</li><li>
Perform payroll duties when necessary and review driver payroll for accuracy</li><li>
Assist in monitoring misdeliveries and make recommendations to the Manager on avoidance strategies</li><li>
Assist in the maintenance of the driver qualification file</li><li>
Assist in the scheduling of truck maintenance and maintaining fleet image</li><li>
Assist in accident investigations</li><li>
Assist other supply chain centers when called upon</li><li>
Assist with D&amp;S Manager with truck leasing meetings to ensure PMs are met to Domino&rsquo;s standard and repairs are completed timely</li><li>
Perform other duties as assigned by Manager and Director</li></ul>
Customer Relations:<ul><li>
Assist in answering Slice of Pie complaints</li><li>
Maintain positive customer relationships</li><li>
Customer Surveys</li></ul>
(20%) As needed, if qualified, drive company commercial vehicle or straight truck for deliveries or to the leasing company for service/maintenance, and on occasion, work the yard 
Qualifications 
<ul><li>
 A Commercial Driver&rsquo;s License Class A is strongly preferred</li><li>
Associate degree or some college and working towards a degree</li><li>
2-3 years of documented supervisory experience</li><li>
2-3 years of route scheduling experience</li><li>
Knowledge of Department of Transportation rules and regulations</li><li>
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software</li><li>
Willingness to support a 24-hour operation, including carrying an emergency cell phone as needed</li><li>
Results-oriented with strong organizational, decision making and people skills</li><li>
Must successfully pass a background check every third year on your anniversary date</li></ul>
Physical Requirements<ul><li>
Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours</li><li>
Walking in/ around the warehouse with great frequency; many facilities are over a quarter mile in length</li><li>
Able to access all areas of the building (ascending and descending ladders, stairs, gangways safely and without limitation)</li><li>
Regular bending, lifting, stretching and reaching both below the waist and above the head</li><li>
Lift and move totes up to 49 pounds each</li><li>
Must be able to work in extreme temperatures [33-38 degrees], and in environments with exposure to loud machinery</li></ul>
