A Code Compliance Officer position is available with the City of Fort Worth Code Compliance Department - Neighborhood Investigations Division. The Code Compliance Department maintains Fort Worth's status as a clean, livable city by ensuring properties comply with ordinances set by City Council. Code Compliance Officers work within defined boundaries and serve as subject matter experts responsible for determining if an ordinance violation is present. The Neighborhood Investigations Division consists of the neighborhood Code Compliance Officers who investigate violations such as high grass, open and vacant structures, junked vehicles, accumulation of trash/debris, contaminated bulk waste, and zoning issues.

Minimum Qualifications:

<li>High School Diploma, or GED supplemented by specialized training in code enforcement, building codes, and zoning regulations or a related field</li>
<li>One (1) year of general experience in building or construction trades, zoning, or enforcement of local, state and federal laws or regulations</li>
<li>Valid Driver's License</li>
<li>Possession of, or ability to obtain, a State of Texas Code Enforcement Officer Certificate within eighteen (18) months of the date of hire</li>

The Code Compliance Officer job responsibilities include:
<ul>
<li>Inspecting single family homes, apartment buildings, businesses, vacant lots and other properties; inspecting environmental hazards; ensuring compliance with applicable zoning and environmental health codes, ordinances and regulations.</li>
<li>Enforcing building codes and zoning regulations for residential and commercial properties.</li>
<li>Performing complaint investigations by responding to alleged violations; interviewing complainants and witnesses, taking photographs of violations, documenting activities and updating records.</li>
<li>Maintaining records and reports of inspections and activities; preparing reports as required.</li>
<li>Responding to public inquiries in a courteous manner; providing information; and resolving complaints in an efficient and timely manner.</li>

</h2><div>RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES<ul><li> Ensure RDMC&rsquo;s operations and business transactions comply with applicable national &amp; international laws, regulations, and policies. (i.e.: SAPIN II).</li><li> Develop, implement, and manage corporate-wide compliance program based on risk-mapping.</li><li> Plan, implement and oversee corporate risk management programs.</li><li> Proactively audit processes, procedures &amp; on-going practices.</li><li> Review previous external audit findings, ensure the actions taken to address findings are being conducted appropriately and create return-on-experience/lesson learned.</li><li> Provide support for the enhanced due diligence process followed on risk assessment prior to account opening and provide decisions accordingly.</li><li> Coordinate with corporate compliance function and state regulators.</li><li> Oversee all tasks &amp; activities related to the conduction of internal control.</li><li> Ensure adherence to the code of conduct and business ethics.</li><li> Coordinate with HR to review received whistleblowing alerts, plan and implement actions needed.</li><li> Liaise with external auditors, corporate &amp; state regulator.</li><li> Create and coordinate proper reporting channels for compliance issues, draft and distribute company compliance communications.</li><li> Coordination and schedule required compliance training for employees at risk.</li></ul></div></div><div>

</h2><div>ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE &amp; EXPERIENCE
QUALIFICATIONS:<ul><li> BSc/BA in business administration or law.</li><li> Professional certification (i.e.: Certified Compliance &amp; Ethics Professional) is a plus.</li><li> Superior skills in Microsoft 365 applications (Excel, Word, Power Point, One Drive, Teams) as well as Microsoft Dynamics.</li></ul>
KNOWLEDGE:<ul><li> Legal requirements and controls.</li><li> Internal control &amp; auditing</li><li> Anti-corruption laws &amp; regulations</li><li> Familiarity with industry practices &amp; professional standards.</li></ul>

 Key Responsibilities
 
 
 
 To support the Contracts and Procurement function by managing contract-related activities, ensuring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and applicable regulations.

 Support the end-to-end contract lifecycle, including preparation, review, issuance, and administration of contracts, amendments, and extensions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Draft, review, and coordinate contract documents in line with approved templates, policies, procedures.
 </li>
 <li>
 Liaise with internal stakeholders (end users, procurement, finance, and legal) to ensure timely contract processing and approvals.

 Coordinate with the Legal team to address contractual comments, clarifications, and risk mitigation measures.

 Ensure all contracts are compliant with organizational policies, procurement regulations, and delegation of authority (DOA).

 Monitor contract timelines, deliverables, expiries, renewals, and variations, and flag risks or delays proactively.

 Preform tendering and sourcing activities, including RFP/RFQ documentation, bid evaluations, and award recommendations,

 Assist in responding to internal and external audits by providing required contract documentation and explanations.
