Strategic Responsibilities
<ul><li>Manage the team's assigned portfolio and achieve the set financial targets in terms of collection, reduction of provisions and IIS and improving the P&amp;L.
</li><li>Managing, motivating and leading a team of professionals, which has a direct and substantial impact on the Bank&rsquo;s P&amp;L.
</li><li>Lead, manage and direct the assigned team in order to ensure maximum recoveries and turnarounds by offering and implementing creative financial solutions to assist and support customers.
</li><li>Lead the restructuring negotiations with clients with a focus on the recovery and turnaround of those cases considered highly sensitive and difficult, including legal action where necessary.
</li><li>Evaluate restructuring, rescheduling, workout or write off proposals and recommend it for management approval.
</li><li>Ensure that the collection process is carried out within the framework of code of conduct and keeping in mind the reputation of the bank
</li><li>Review the collections strategy regularly and train collectors to ensure that the collection techniques change with change in the legal and economic situation of the country.
</li><li>Ensure capacity planning is in place and a load-balancing is done for the unit.
</li><li>Remain in constant touch with law enforcement agencies and external lawyers and keep the unit updated on any changes anticipated in the legal scenario of the country
</li><li>Ensure low audit risk rating for the unit.
</li><li>Negotiate and work out a best possible settlement with the customer with a win-win approach
</li><li>Ensure that the collection process is carried out within the framework of the bank&rsquo;s code of conduct and keeping in mind the reputation of the bank
</li><li>Set up a strong collection&rsquo;s infrastructure for recovery of delinquent accounts through empanelment of external collection agencies locally and internationally. Maintain regular follow up with the international regions to conclude settlement plans, restructuring proposals and take necessary legal actions where needed for the managed portfolio under their respective regions, to maximize the cash recovery, IIS &amp; provision write back and improved P&amp;L.
</li><li>Liaise internally with multiple units (Credit-CAD-Paralegal) to ensure completion of process of restructures, reschedules, settlements, and legal formalities
</li><li>Coordinate with external entities and empanelled property management companies to inquire about the lease details of the mortgaged units.
</li><li>Managing front end collection team and monitor their performances, updates, and number of calls made
</li><li>Reduce flow rates on front end buckets to ensure delinquency rate downward trend.
</li><li>Managing escalation , complaints, customer&rsquo;s queries ,and meeting up with customers for enhancing resolution and clarifying customer&rsquo;s doubts, and minimizing complaint rates.

Position Summary

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements<ul><li>
The library environment involves everyday risks or discomforts that require normal safety precautions typical of offices, which includes the need for general safe workplace practices with office equipment and computers, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations. When this position is within the Mobiles Services department work performed on vehicles (e.g., bookmobiles) is done in close quarters that, at times, may be in motion as teams travel from stop to stop. Additionally, this work is done year-round in vehicles furnished with heat and air conditioning.</li><li>
The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.</li><li>
This position is performed mainly in the public and office areas of the Library although some off-site meetings in various other locations may occur (e.g., school visits, etc.). Purpose:
 
To communicate with clients/customers in investigating, negotiating and resolving conflicts to expedite payments.
 
To provide data and information with regards to collections function

Accountable to their line manager and direct reports so far as is reasonably practical to ensure:

His/her personal safety and that of all personnel under his/her authority, including others who may be affected by the company's activities. In particular to:
 
<ul><li>Conduct risk assessments on activities within their department ensuring that the methods and safe systems of work are safe and implemented;
</li><li>Ensure all employees and contractors under their control are competent to undertake their duties;
</li><li>Ensure all accidents, incidents and near misses are reported and investigated;
</li><li>Promote good behaviours and set a personal example with regard to occupational health and safety matters.

Authority:
 
Managers/Supervisors have the authority to stop work when health and safety is unsafe or being compromised.</div>
 <div>Education &amp; Professional Qualification:
 
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
 
<ul><li>Professional Qualifications like C.A., ACCA, CIMA etc. or equivalent is a must
</li></ul> 
Professional Experience:
 
- 6-8 years of experience in Finance or Accounting or related business discipline. At least 2 years in Supervisory capacity
 
<ul><li>Exposure to IFRS is preferable
</li></ul> 
Geographic Experience:
 
- Minimum 2 years working in Qatar
 
 
Computer Skills:
 
- Professional and advanced knowledge of using MS Excel
 
<ul><li>Well versed in MS office applications and preferable knowledge in oracle fusion
</li></ul> 
Language Skills:
 
- Fluent in English
 
 
Market/Industry/Functional Knowledge:
 
- Possess a high degree of analytical skills
 
<ul><li>Good knowledge of contemporary theories and practices related to Finance
</li><li>Good knowledge of Accounts Receivables processing systems and procedures</li></ul></div>
 <div>Key Roles &amp; Responsibilities
Accounts Receivable Activities
 
1. Analyse customer data to identify patterns in collection to help in designing the collection strategies.
 
2. Meet accounts receivable operational standards by contributing information to strategic plans and reviews.
 
3. Ensure customer-service level standards by responding to customer queries and attending to the requests and requirements of the internal customer, on a timely basis.
 
4. Liaise with the Direct Manager and/ or respective credit analyst/operation department to ensure that due payments are repaid with a minimum delay.
 
5. Follow-up on parties having outstanding due payments on a regular basis and send out payment reminders as and when required to monitor and reduce the account receivable turnover days.
 
6. Collect accounts by contacting customers referred by credit analyst; investigating circumstances of non-payment; negotiating and resolving conflicts; expediting payment collection.
 
7. Generate and/ or prepare standard receivables' reports as requested by the Direct Manager.
 
Reporting Activities
 
8. Prepare financial reports and related analysis for Account Receivables during the Quarterly Financial Reporting cycle.
 
9. Prepare the consolidated monthly working capital reports and covering any ad-hoc reports relating to Working capital optimization.
 
10. Engage with the external auditors to furnish the relevant information ensuring the smooth completion of the statutory reporting audit.
 
Business Finance
 
11. Take the lead in preparing the relevant business units AR reports and related analysis during monthly report cycle process.
 
12. Engage actively with business to analyse information, collect, and reconcile data to the financial systems accurately.
 
13. Provide where relevant exceptions and insights to the business when analysing numbers, trends, and patterns.
 
General
 
14. Implement the Finance &amp; Accounting policies and procedures. Ensure that required changes to the policies and procedures manual are highlighted and communicated to Direct Manager.
 
15. Ensure compliance with relevant internal controls within the Finance and Accounting function and any deviation or non-compliance is communicated to the relevant Finance personnel for rectification and/ or appropriate action.
 
16. Provide recommendations on new subordinate hires and ensure the availability of all resources required to perform assigned tasks and activities
 
17. Supervise subordinate staff, assign work activities, monitor performance and review results
 
18. Act as a coach to subordinates, identify their training and career development, recommend training courses and follow-up on their personnel records such as timesheets, discipline, vacations, leaves and absenteeism
 
19. Perform other job-related duties as assigned</div>
