Needs to be willing to care for varied patient population and demonstrate decisive judgment and ability to work at top of licensure.
</p><p></p><p>In addition to performing HRA, responsibilities in the Dysplasia Clinic include performing biopsies and Hyfrecation treatments, interpreting pathology/cytology reports, obtaining detailed patient histories, performing human papillomavirus teaching and risk reduction counseling. General Colorectal responsibilities to include assisting Surgeons in the outpatient clinic, independent clinical practice and performing in-office procedures such as I&amp;D and standard anoscopy. New hire will be responsible for managing patients with anorectal disorders, Inflammatory Bowel Diseases (IBD), Colorectal Cancer, and assessing patients in our Colorectal Physiology Center (CPC) for fecal incontinence and defecatory dysfunction. Precision Healthcare Specialists is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized <b>Medical Scribe</b> to support our colorectal surgery providers. The Medical Scribe plays a critical role in enhancing provider efficiency and patient care by accurately documenting clinical encounters in real time. This position requires strong medical terminology knowledge, excellent listening skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced specialty environment.</p><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b><br>
Key Responsibilities</b></h3><ul><li>
Accompany providers during patient visits and accurately document medical histories, physical exams, procedures, and treatment plans in the electronic medical record (EMR)</li><li>
Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely, accurate, and compliant manner</li><li>
Enter orders, labs, imaging, and referrals as directed by the provider</li><li>
Assist with chart preparation, including reviewing prior records, test results, and histories</li><li>
Maintain strict patient confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA regulations</li><li>
Support providers with workflow efficiency, allowing them to focus on patient care</li><li>
Update patient charts, including past medical history, medications, and allergies</li><li>
Communicate effectively with clinical staff to ensure continuity of care</li></ul>
Requirements:<br>
<p></p><ul><li>
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor&rsquo;s degree preferred</li><li>
Prior experience as a medical scribe or in a healthcare setting strongly preferred</li><li>
Knowledge of medical terminology, particularly in gastroenterology or colorectal surgery, is a plus</li><li>
Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., eClinicalWorks, Epic, Athenahealth) preferred</li><li>
Strong typing and computer skills (minimum 50&ndash;60 WPM recommended)</li><li>
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>
Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment</li></ul><h3 class="jobSectionHeader"><b>
