The Financial Analyst is responsible for supporting Commercial and Finance teams by delivering accurate forecasts, financial analysis, and standard reporting. The AFS Finance and Risk Analyst is a multifaceted position responsible for driving pricing, risk management, and performance analytics for the global AFS team. Job Description
The purpose of this role is to operate independently to provide financial and commercial oversight to an increased complexity portfolio of remote operating sites governed by unique commercial agreements and varying complex customers. As aSenior Financial Analyst – Commercial Finance, you will support strategic initiatives across theInnovation/RD, Sales, Marketing, and Commercial teams for theWellness segment. This role partners closely with leadership withinSales, Marketing, Commercial Strategy, and Corporate Finance, to drive financial performance, operational efficiency, and business improvement.
 This is a Hybrid role in our Battle Creek, Michigan Corporate Headquarters.
 
HERE’S WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING:Key Responsibilities:

<li>Support strategies that drive increased profitability, process efficiency, reduced costs, and overall business performance</li>
<li>Partner with leadership to deliver financial and strategic results using Financial Planning Analysis (FPA) best practices</li>
<li>Translate complex financial results and reports into clear, actionable insights for business partners across the organization</li>
</ul>
Direct Business Partnering: 
<ul>
<li>Interacts directly with Business Unit/ Finance teams to provide guidance around reports, analytics, strategic plans, business plans, and targets</li>
<li>Works with Business Partners to report, monitor and manage key financial and non-financial performance indicators</li>
</ul>
Financial Management Activities: 
<ul>
<li>Performs complex economic/financial research and analyses as assigned for use in financial business decisions and development of business strategies.</li>
<li>Handles/leads completion of ad-hoc questions/ issues/projects as they arise.</li>
<li>Reviews and translates assumptions to financial budget or forecast for review by management.</li>
<li>Proactively recommends updates to budgets/ forecasts/ and helps to identify ways to close gaps/ meet challenges.</li>
<li>Helps to ensure timely and accurate monthly financial closing/reporting, submission of results and reviews with BU leadership.</li>
</ul>
Decision Support: 
<ul>
<li>Prepares complex ad-hoc reporting and performance analytics work products</li>
<li>Review standard / ad-hoc reporting performance analytics work products and provide additional insights and commentary</li>
<li>Frames ad-hoc reporting or analytics requests and interfacing across Regional GBS GBS organizational tiers.</li>
</ul>
QUALIFICATIONS: 
<ul>
<li>Master’s Degree in a Finance/Business-Related preferred, or bachelor’s degree in a Finance/Business-Related field + 2 or more years of related work experience.</li>
<li>Strong analytical, problem solving, decision making, communication skills and detail orientation.</li>
<li>Strong PC skills with an emphasis on Excel, Word and PowerPoint.</li>
<li>Proficient knowledge of ERP and other financial planning systems (e.g. SAP)</li>
<li>Three to five years of related work experience. CPG experience is a bonus.</li>
<li>Self-motivated, quick learner, with a strong focus on accuracy and attention to detail.</li>
<li>Working knowledge of financial models including pricing and PL.</li>
</ul>
Compensation Insights: 
Salary Range: $85,920 - $107,400
 Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.
