 What you'll do:
 
 
 
 The job holder will be responsible for managing vendor selection and in developing and maintaining strong vendor partnerships. The role will also be inclusive of responsibilities such as monitoring industry trends and evaluating competition, to attend major markets as feasible and necessary.
 
 <ul>

 Perform weekly stock and sales analysis to ensure all brands are trending correctly in line with sales plans.
 </li>
 <li>
 Review planned deliveries in line with sales targets &amp; percentage mix by category, price level and stock levels to achieve sales, profitability and turnover
 </li>
 <li>
 Demonstrate understanding of product and pricing analysis to inform pricing strategy and manage all spend within budgetary requirements.
 </li>
 <li>
 Negotiate new &amp; improved working terms with global suppliers to help achieve target margin on all orders up to clearance in line with buying strategy and KPIs.
 </li>
 <li>
 Accumulate trend information and generally maintain market awareness in keeping with our target customer to inform and analyze buying decisions and product performance.
 </li>
 <li>
 Proactively identify strong and weak selling items and report scope for enhancement to the selection strategy accordingly and report the senior management on a regular basis
 </li>
 <li>
 Meet and manage suppliers with a view to building robust and preferential relationships and secure timely delivery of orders.
 </li>
 <li>
 Prioritize and secure favorable credit terms with suppliers
 </li>
 <li>
 Ensure timely and accurate replenishment of stock
 </li>
 <li>
 Maximizing sales and margins. Understanding the price positioning of the products and gleaning knowledge of how the design and specification of the accessories impacts on the target cost price. Ensure all products are developed within these perimeters.
 </li>

About the Role
The Commercial Intern will provide crucial support to the Account Management and Sales teams at Deliveroo. Their main responsibilities will revolve around assisting with day-to-day tasks related to managing restaurant partners and enhancing customer relationships, including reviewing restaurant operations, preparing and pitching growth strategies to restaurants, and enhancing their visibility and presence on Deliveroo's platform.
This role aims to improve internal efficiency and contribute to the overall success of the Account Management and Sales functions, while providing exceptional opportunities to grow your communication skills, pitching skills, client and relationship management skills, and portfolio management and data analysis skills.
Main Responsibilities:<ul><li>
Collaborate closely with Account Managers to ensure smooth and ongoing support for restaurant partners</li><li>
Help maintain and update data in the company CRM system</li><li>
Support in updating restaurant information, including menu images, menu item descriptions, menu details, operating hours, and social media activities</li><li>
Assist in addressing any ad-hoc questions and queries from clients, including those related to general information about Deliveroo and routine operating procedures</li><li>
Support the commercial team on ad-hoc projects, with a focus on improving productivity, data enrichment and contribute to enhancing the customer experience</li><li>
Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and delivery of commercials initiatives</li><li>
Assist in processing and analyzing basic data and information around simple operational metrics for clients</li><li>
Practice upselling or cross-selling additional products or services to existing clients</li><li>
Support in on-the-ground activations and merchandising activities with restaurant partners</li></ul>
