Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.<br/></p><p>Work Environment:<br/></p><p>Works both indoors and outdoors with exposure to extreme weather conditions as well as dust and pollen; subject to a variety of mechanical, electrical, chemical, toxic waste and other safety hazards associated with or working around aircraft, vehicles, equipment, fuel etc.; subject to constant and extreme noise, strong odors, fumes and poor lighting due to working at night; possible exposure to disease due to aircraft lavatory work.<br/></p><p>Commissary Agent<br/></p><p>General Purpose of Job:<br/></p><p>The Commissary Agent is responsible for driving catering truck, safe loading and unloading of catering on and off the aircraft, equipment preparation, production, proportioning, stocking of in-flight catering carts and ordering supplies, servicing arriving and departing flights, assist ground operations agents, as needed, and any other assigned duties.<br/></p><p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:<br/></p><ul><li>Perform related duties as assigned or as the situation dictates, i.e., ramp, commissary and aircraft cleaning activities.</li><li>Assist in service area as required and maintain storeroom facilities and equipment in a sanitary condition.</li><li>Perform aircraft interior cleaning as required</li><li>Prepare all food and beverage carts according to specification for service in catering.</li><li>Maintain a very high level of quality and appearance of all food and misc products served.</li><li>Responsible for opening, restocking and closing duties during their shift.</li><li>Help maintain floors, walls, ceilings and equipment in a working and sanitary condition.</li><li>Assist in taking of inventories and in determining daily usage.</li><li>Rotate and date all products to maintain a high level of quality.</li><li>Be efficient and have speed in restocking carts.</li><li>Have an overall organized approach to allow a smooth operation.</li><li>Setup/display where applicable.</li><li>Assist in loading and unloading of carts from aircraft as required.</li><li>Operate ground equipment, including large box truck, tugs and belt loaders.</li><li>Ensure ramp areas are safe and free of FOD and that equipment is properly maintained.</li><li>Follow safety regulations which include the proper use of ground equipment and wearing proper safety items.</li><li>Able to communicate using a two-way radio.</li><li>Must be at least 18 years old.</li><li>Able to read and write English</li><li>Must have a valid driver&rsquo;s license</li><li>Must be able to work nights, weekends (Saturday &amp; Sunday) and holidays</li><li>Other duties as assigned.</li></ul><p>Physical Demands:<br/></p><p>Must be able to work in a high pressure environment. Must be able to carry 70 pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry 70 pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet; must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time.
