Security officers assigned to executive protection duties must maintain a level of readiness that allows them to respond promptly when requested. Upon receiving notification from the client, supervisor, or designated company representative, the security officer must be able to deploy and arrive at the designated meeting location within ninety (90) minutes of the initial call or message. Officers are expected to remain reasonably available during their assigned on-call periods and must ensure they have reliable communication methods, transportation, and necessary equipment readily accessible in order to meet this response requirement.
Upon arrival, the officer will meet with the client or authorized representative to assess the situation and determine the appropriate level of executive protection support required. Duties may include conducting a preliminary risk assessment, coordinating protective coverage, providing personal escort services, assisting with secure transportation arrangements, and implementing immediate protective measures to ensure the safety and security of the client. Officers must maintain a professional appearance, follow established company procedures, and adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, and operational protocols while performing these duties.
Failure to maintain the required response capability or to meet the established 90-minute response time without a valid and documented reason may be subject to review and corrective action in accordance with company policy. This requirement ensures that qualified personnel can be mobilized quickly to address time-sensitive security needs and provide effective executive protection services when requested.
Requirements:

 Security officers assigned to executive protection duties must be currently commissioned security officers in the State of Arkansas and must maintain all required state licenses, certifications, and training necessary to legally perform armed security services within the state. Officers must remain in good standing with all applicable state regulatory agencies and comply with all laws, regulations, and standards governing private security operations in Arkansas.
Security officers assigned to executive protection duties must meet the minimum qualifications required to serve as a commissioned security officer in the State of Arkansas and must maintain all required licenses, certifications, and training necessary to legally perform armed security services within the state. Officers must remain in good standing and in full compliance with all regulatory standards established by the Arkansas State Police Private Security and Investigations Division, which oversees the licensing and regulation of private security officers within Arkansas.
 Officers must also possess a valid driver&rsquo;s license and maintain access to a reliable personal vehicle in order to respond to assignments at various locations when applicable. The vehicle must be properly insured and maintained to ensure dependable transportation for duty-related travel. Officers are responsible for ensuring that their transportation allows them to meet required response times and to travel safely to client locations, meeting points, or operational areas as directed.</div>

OVERVIEW: This is a pre-entry level position which works under the general supervision of the Training Officer and/or Sergeant (Shift Commander). As a Police Officer Recruit, you will receive comprehensive training and guidance. Upon passing the Academy and receiving your P.O.S.T. certification, you will immediately be promoted to a Police Officer with the potential to earn an annual salary of up to $53,472.84 (excluding overtime). SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
Due to the nature of the work most decisions must be made by the Officer immediately without the benefit of being able to consult with a supervisor, i.e., whether to arrest, give a warning, shoot or not, impound a vehicle, where to patrol, and which calls need to have a report done. Work begins when an Officer goes on patrol, answers calls from citizens and investigates accidents or crimes. The supervisor reviews work by checking paperwork for errors and content, monitoring radio traffic calls, and assisting at the scene of major crimes. The consequences of errors may be loss of time, inconvenience to the public, lawsuit against the city, injury or possible loss of life.

 The Police Officer Supervisor at the Department of Public Safety and Correctional Services (DPSCS) is the supervisory level of law enforcement work at a State facility. Employees in this classification supervise lower-level Police Officers and other security personnel. They supervise Law enforcement work enforcing laws, rules, and regulations governing the safety and protection of personnel and State property. Employees may be assigned to day, evening, night or rotating shifts which may include holidays and weekends. May also be subject to call-in and overtime based on staffing needs.

POLICE OFFICER SUPERVISOR

<div><div><div>What you will be doing: 
Under the general direction of the enforcement supervisor (Special Investigator 2), you will be enforcing and ensuring compliance with alcohol and marijuana laws and regulations by conducting inspections, investigations, compliance checks and undercover operations. You would use your extensive knowledge of investigative techniques and procedures, rules of evidence and court procedures, interviewing techniques, knowledge of the basic theories of human behavior, as well as other techniques. As a Special Investigator you would be responsible for writing reports, preparing concise and complete documents of various types, obtaining search warrants and drafting accusations and criminal complaints. Special Investigators participate in ongoing law enforcement training including but not limited to community policing, less-lethal weapons, firearms, first aid and CPR. Special Investigators provide training on alcohol and marijuana laws to local and state law enforcement agenices.

In your role you will be an essential part of the enforcement team and the AMCO office. The Special Investigators are a vital position in enforcing the alcohol and marijuana laws and regulations to ensure compliance and protecting the health and safety of Alaskans.

The hours and schedule can be flexible, but you may be required to work nights, weekends, and holidays. 
 
The working conditions you can expect: 
The position is part of the enforcement team that is made up of (7) Special Investigator 1's located in Anchorage, Fairbanks, Juneau, and Wasilla or Palmer, a Special Investigator 2 (Supervisor), and a Criminal Justice Technician 2. Our office is in downtown Fairbanks in the Fairbanks Regional Office Building. Most of your time will be spent working in the field conducting inspections and investigations of licensed premises.

 Special Notice:<ul><li>
Requires frequent travel within the State of Alaska by motor vehicle, ATV, snow machine and/or small aircraft in a variety of weather conditions, including travel to rural communities off of the road system (normally no more than 3 days during a trip). This position may be required to operate vehicles such as a snow machine or ATV while in rural communities.</li><li>
Due to the nature of the position, applicant must be 21 years of age or older to qualify and must pass a background investigation including fingerprinting, as a condition of hire.</li><li>
Requires ability to qualify with a handgun on agency approved course of fire.</li><li>
This position is subject to exposure of tobacco and/or marijuana smoke filled environments and may have contact with inebriated or hostile individuals.</li><li>

AMCO Special Investigators:
