Key Accountabilities:

JOB PURPOSE
 
Lead Interface Engineer is the role accountable for the overall Interface activities in the FEED/EPC phase at home office as well as Execution of the Project Interface activities at site which combines both technical and coordination aspects. The role holder acts as a principal point of contact who liaises with all internal and external stakeholders for various technical inputs and ensuring coordination among multiple parties/project packages that is required during the Project design and execution phase.

External and Internal Interfaces
<ul><li>Lead Interface Engineer, Project Interfaces, is responsible for engineering coordination and Execution of assigned Interface requirements through close interaction with Internal and External parties/Stakeholders/End Users/Contractors and will also identify, develop, coordinate, expedite and steward till closure of all Project Interfaces.
</li><li>Coordinates and establishes the regular interface meetings between Contractor and Company.

 Duties and responsibilities
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 To develop the detailed pre-commissioning procedures for Electrical Items &amp; Packages, procedures for the functional tests of the electrical Items according to the instructions of Commissioning Electrical Superintendent.
 </li>
 <li>
 To field check the DAC and prepare relevant Commissioning punch list, following the CME instructions.
 </li>
 <li>
 Follow up of activities according to the schedule and by applying the procedures and safety rules.
 </li>
 <li>
 To organize and manage the operations in field of the assigned team from the Subcontractor by controlling their job and the implementation of Plant Safety procedures in case of emergency.
 </li>
 <li>
 To keep records of all activities performed in the logbook for the purpose of monitoring the progress achieved and apply necessary recovery actions.
 </li>
 <li>
 To supervise the activities of electrical substation power on and motor run in field. Ensure the application of the TAG-OUT/LOCK OUT.
 </li>
 <li>
 Support the Vendors specialists in the execution of the job and coordinate their actions with the Commissioning supervisors.
 </li>
 <li>
 Supervise the works of vendors&rsquo; specialists and ensure their efficient utilization.
 </li>
 <li>
 During the execution of the interlocks, logic and sequence test, check in MCC that all the actions required or actuated from the board operator are properly performed.
 </li>
 <li>
 Carry out operation of the starters as per the approved work permit request
 </li>
 <li>
 To ensure that all the activities are witnessed by the Client, prepare and sign off all
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 relevant certificates and hand over to certification engineer.
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Can be the authorized person designated by the site manager to receive or issue a Permit.
 </li>
 <li>
 Work according to the project Permit to Work Procedure.
 </li>

 Knowledge &amp; Qualifications

 Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in engineering or a related field.
 </li>
 </ul>
 
 
 
 
 
 Experience
 
 
 <ul>
 <li>
 Minimum of 8 years of experience in a safety-related role, preferably within the construction or oil and gas industry.
 </li>
 <li>
 Relevant experience in 3 major EPC projects; oil &amp; gas, petrochemical sector.
 </li>

<ul><li>Being the responsible Mechanical Engineer and reporting to the PM.
