Under basic supervision, performs administrative and technical work in the developing, coordinating, and executing communications that effectively engage and inform students, families, staff, community members, and media representatives.

</li><li>Manage and update the district website and social media accounts;monitor engagement analytics and recommend strategies to improve reach, effectiveness, and community engagement.
</li><li>Draft news releases and respond to routine media inquiries; coordinate interviews and prepare background materials and talking points for district leadership.
</li><li>Monitor media coverage and social media activity; prepare summaries for district leadership.
</li><li>Collaborate with administrators and staff to identify, develop, and promote stories highlighting student achievement, staff recognition programs, events, and district initiatives.

The Student Assistant will report to Saralyn Armer, Strategic Research Communications Manager, and assist in creating and conveying information on SUNY's strategic initiatives related to research to diverse audiences, both internal and external to SUNY. Assist with gathering and disseminating information on SUNY's diverse research activities, initiatives, and impact
