J&amp;K is in immediate need of an Experienced Tower Climber/ RF Field Technician in the Columbia City area. This list of responsibilities is not all inclusive:</p><ul><li>Installation and removal of LMR, SCADA and Microwave radio systems on free standing towers and water tanks.</li><li>Knowledge of equipment, climbing, rigging and safety procedures is a plus but can be taught.</li><li>Basic working knowledge of Direct and Alternating electrical current.</li><li>Install and maintain radio systems, including base stations, repeaters, mobile radios, point-to-point, point-to-multipoint radios and microwave radio systems.</li><li>Troubleshoot and repair radio equipment, including diagnosing faults and replacing faulty components.</li><li>Networking and routing knowledge to include LAN, WAN, OSPF and BGP</li><li>Knowledge of layer 2 and layer 3 network protocols to include, Ethernet, ARP, IP, TCP, UDP, SNMP, IGMP, ICMP and DHCP</li><li>Knowledge of PLC/RTU communications protocols</li><li>Diagnose, repair, and install antenna systems and RF filtering systems.</li><li>Construction of electrical panels based on blueprints and electrical schematics.</li><li>Diagnose, repair, and install DC and AC circuits.</li><li>Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections of radio equipment.</li><li>Research and evaluate system problems and recommend a solution.</li><li>Work with the sales team to assist in coordinating project installation/deployments.</li><li>Assist with the specifications and design of dispatch and remote communications installations.</li><li>Participate in on-call rotation for afterhours emergency call outs. Current rotation consists of approximately 1 day per week and 1 weekend every 6 weeks. An additional daily incentive when on-call, whether called out or not.</li></ul><p>

Performs minor repairs and routine periodic preventive maintenance on a variety of educational support equipment such as laminators, VCR/DVD players, phones, pottery class equipment, home economic appliances, and mechanical binder-punch tools. In addition, infield duties require LCD projector lamp replacement, Closed Circuit Television maintenance (Analog and</p>

IP), Coaxial, CAT 5 and CAT 6 cable installations and troubleshooting, installing connectors and tracing cable runs with tone signals. Must be able to assist other Electronic technicians when needed and have the ability to perform most job functions with little supervision.</p>

EMPLOYMENT STANDARDS</b></p>

Knowledge of: Electrical and electronic theory and basic troubleshooting techniques including mechanical devices, electric motors, analog and logic circuits, understanding schematic diagrams and blue prints, and experience with Coaxial and CAT 5-CAT 6 cables and associated connectors. Must have the ability to document all work performed including cable installations and bench repair work.</p>
<p>
Skill at: Working independently and as a team; performing general preventive maintenance on electrical and electronic equipment as well as electro-mechanical devices. Must be capable of understanding technical manuals and specification sheets; observing safety practices; understanding and carrying out oral and written instructions; performing some heavy manual labor; preparing reports pertaining to work performed; handling a variety of work orders and completing work on schedule; and establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with those contacted in course of work.</p>

Licenses/Certificates: Possession of a valid Nevada State Operator's license with a driving record acceptable to the district.</p>

This position will interact closely with the customers, Branch Manager, the Senior Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor and the centralized scheduling Field Service Team. </p><p></p><p><b><b>E</b><b>SSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES </b></b></p><ul><li><p> Organize, lead, and maintain the warranty and service schedule. </p></li><li><p> Work with the Electrical Foreman, Construction Supervisor and the Branch Manager to allocate labor resources to service and warranty projects as needed </p></li><li><p> Assist with training and development for Field Service Technicians and Field Communications Technicians. </p></li><li><p> Lead regular meetings to align and train the local field service team on best practices </p></li><li><p> Support the on-boarding and training of new members of the field performance team </p></li><li><p> Regularly exceed defined goals for field performance key performance indicators including but not limited to turnaround time, experience rating and average dispatches completed </p></li><li><p> Assist with other tasks including inspections and site audits when assigned </p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><b>EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE</b></b></p><ul><li><p>1 - 3 years of previous field construction or solar experience required </p></li><li><p>PV design or PV electrical experience is preferred</p></li><li><p>High School diploma is required</p></li></ul><p><b> </b></p><p><b><b>LICENSE AND CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS (include where appropriate)</b></b></p><ul><li><p> Must maintain a clean driving record with the ability to pass a driving background check. Must be 21 years of age and possess a valid driver's license. </p></li><li><p> Valid state or local Electrical Journeyman certification or license preferred. Demonstrates knowledge of electrical principles as it pertains to solar interconnection/tie-in and code and how PV systems operate. Understands interconnection activities.
