Purpose of the Job
The Field Coordinator (FC) is an entry-level position responsible for tracking the implementation of the Valuable Girl Project at the grassroots level. This includes monitoring project activities, expenses, and compliance with Coptic Orphans' quality standards and policies. The Field Coordinator works closely with Community Development Associations (CDAs) to ensure smooth execution and adherence to project guidelines.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Monitoring All Technical Activities at the CDA Level<ul><li>
Conduct daily field visits to monitor project activities and partner CDA day-to-day operations, ensuring alignment with approved plans and adherence to Coptic Orphans' policies.</li><li>
Participate in community events and workshops to ensure proper representation and compliance with project guidelines.
</li></ul>Coaching and Compliance Support<ul><li>
Provide hands-on coaching to CDA staff and implement training sessions to address operational challenges.</li><li>
Maintain an organized record of project assets and ensure their proper use in line with partnership guidelines. Financial Compliance and Asset Control: Flag and, if deemed necessary, temporarily halt non-compliant financial transactions by CDAs, pending review by the Area Program Manager.</li></ul>
Technical and Financial Reporting Documentation and Reporting:<ul><li>
Conduct financial compliance spot-checks at CDAs to ensure adherence to grant guidelines.</li><li>
Compile and review CDA funding requests and financial reports, ensuring compliance with approved proposals and grant guidelines.</li><li>
Collect, verify, and consolidate qualitative and quantitative data from CDAs for monthly or ad-hoc reports.</li><li>
Meet with APM weekly to report, and summarize field updates, financial discrepancies, and operational challenges.

<ul><li>Manage Coptic Orphans' field administrative tasks, including meeting coordination, logistics, and prompt correspondence with CDAs.</li><li>

This Community Care Coordinator communicates consistently and effectively with various partners and community providers and other Metrocare staff regarding clients&rsquo; assessments, barriers, and unique needs. This may include housing, benefits, food and clothing resources, and other areas to ensure a complete and comprehensive treatment approach. The Community Care Coordinator will provide connection to services for individuals coming through various community partners that seek to reduce the impact of mental health and social determinants that lead to crisis. They will be expected to work closely and collaboratively with community mental health agencies, law enforcement, and service providers regarding clients to develop effective responses to referrals. The team will also provide updates and feedback on referrals that are made and will communicate and coordinate with community providers regarding services for referrals. 
 
 
 
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
<ul><li>Provide coordination in all aspects of care between the clients, community partners and Metrocare.
</li><li>Assist clients while they are in crisis in accessing appropriate mental health services and facilitate appropriate continuity of care.
</li><li>Provide accurate and timely reporting metrics to supervisors.
</li><li>Make accurate and effective assessments and recommendations regarding the client&rsquo;s mental health needs in compliance with the client&rsquo;s rights as well as all relevant State and Federal statutes, and Metrocare policies and procedures.
</li><li>Develop and maintain rapport with the various agencies and organizations involved with the diversion program.
</li><li>Prepare, create, and maintain records, files, documents, reports, and correspondence both within Metrocare and partner agencies and organizations.
</li><li>Work with other Metrocare employees, members of partner agencies and organizations, as well as the target population and their families in a constructive and efficient fashion.
</li><li>Create and/or enhance an existing person/family-centered recovery plan that identifies an individual&rsquo;s goals, objectives, strengths and preferred involvement of natural supports as well as coordination with internal and external providers.

</li><li>Assistance with scheduling and completing all internal and external provider appointments.

Relationships with external agencies will include but are not limited to: FQHCs, inpatient psychiatric and substance use facilities, the Department of Veteran Affairs, inpatient acute care hospitals and hospital outpatient clinics and community/regional supports and providers such as schools, child welfare agencies, criminal justice, and Indian Health Services.

This job is specifically located in St. Tammany &amp; Washington Parishes and applicant must live in one of these parishes and have reliable access to a vehicle for commuting to family homes in these parishes.Requirements<ul><li>Commitment to the CHILD FIRST&reg; model.</li><li>Bachelor&rsquo;s degree in child development, psychology, nursing, human services, or related fields preferred.</li><li>A minimum of three years working with culturally diverse families and young children under the age of six years preferred.</li><li>Knowledge of early childhood development, parent education, parent-child relationships, and individual, family, and community-level risk factors (e.g., poverty, homelessness, maternal depression, domestic violence, substance abuse, teen parenthood).</li><li>Knowledge of and experience with community-based services and supports in service area, highly valued.</li><li>Experience working in home and community-based settings with populations of diverse cultures and ethnicities preferred.</li><li>Ability to speak a second language (Spanish, French, Vietnamese, Creole, other), highly valued.</li><li>Ability to exercise discretion and maintain client confidentiality.</li><li>Effective verbal and written communication skills.</li><li>Valid driver&rsquo;s license and vehicle in good working condition.</li><li>Automobile liability insurance that meets minimum requirements set forth by Counsel NOLA.</li><li>Valid Louisiana registration, certification or licensure in a mental health related field.</li><li>First aid and CPR certification.</li><li>Familiarity with MicrosoftOffice Suite, email and Internet.</li><li>Must live in community and parishes served (St. Tammany &amp; Washington Parishes).</li><li>Must be at least 21 years of age.</li><li>No history of DUI violations.</li><li>Approved to meet the Louisiana Department of Children and Family Services standards based on criminal history background check.</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: $40,000.00 per yearBenefits:<ul><li>Dental insurance</li><li>Flexible schedule</li><li>Health insurance</li><li>Paid time off</li><li>Vision insurance</li></ul>Application Question(s):<ul><li>Do you have reliable access to a vehicle as this job requires commuting to family homes and community locations in St. Tammany and Washington Parishes?</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>Bachelor's (Required)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>working with children and families: 3 years (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: Hybrid remote in New Orleans, LA 70130
