Primary Duties

THE OPPORTUNITY
The Staten Island Justice Center (SIJC or &quot;Justice Center&quot;) offers an array of programming for both youth and adults in Staten Island, focusing on engaging those with current or past justice involvement. The Justice Center provides judges, prosecutors, and defense attorneys with alternative community sentencing options that hold individuals accountable in a way that is meaningful, proportionate, and restorative. The goal is to provide participants with individual and group services that help them to avoid future contact with the justice system and promote swift case resolutions that bolster public confidence in justice.
The Justice Center is seeking an Engagement Specialist for the Transformative Reentry Initiative. The Justice Center&rsquo;s Transformative Reentry Initiative (TRI) will provide participants with wraparound services focused on restorative practices, employment/educational support, mentorship, and social-emotional support. Reporting to the Program Manager, the Engagement Specialist will be responsible for working with program participants pre and post-release. Duties include co-creating individual support plans, providing home visits when necessary, attending appointments or community events with participants, maintaining regular communication, meeting with participants in casual settings if needed to build trust, hosting circles of support, and helping to determine which type of workforce development programming is best for each participant.
Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:<ul><li>
Engage in one-on-one relationships with mentees and their families, including, but not limited to, scheduling and facilitating individual mentorship meetings several times per week;</li><li>
Develop, facilitate, and coordinate group programming including, but not limited to workshops, restorative justice circles of support, community benefit projects, and group outings;</li><li>
Co-create and oversee all elements of individual support plans for mentees, including scheduling and participating in meetings related to mentees' well-being, as well as family team meetings and work with participants to fulfill the goals and make the necessary connections that were identified in their individual support plan;</li><li>
Meet participants at discharge from Department of Corrections (DOC) and Department of Corrections and Community Supervision (DOCCS) facilities, if needed;</li><li>

We re looking for driven crypto enthusiasts across the MENA region to lead local initiatives, organize educational events, and build strong grassroots communities.</div> <div> </div> <div>As a Binance Community member, you ll play a key role in expanding Binance s reach in emerging cities while empowering users through education and engagement.</div> <div> </div> <div> <div> Responsibilities <ul> <ul> <li>Manage and moderate Binance s local Social Media channels, ensuring healthy dialogue, quick response, and daily engagement.</li> <li>Drive structured community growth through referral loops, local activations, and in-person onboarding at events.</li> <li>Launch and manage social media campaigns using bots, mini-games, quizzes, and reward mechanics.</li> <li>Intern will support Arabic, English and French-speaking users and contribute to regional community growth via Telegram, Discord, and other social media platforms.</li> <li>Assist with Binance Angels coordination, onboarding, and activation.</li> <li>Plan and support offline meetups, workshops, and educational sessions in regional cities.</li> <li>Help scout venues, coordinate with local partners/vendors, and assist during on-ground execution.</li> <li>Represent Binance at local expos, student events, university sessions, and Web3 forums.</li> <li>Engage student clubs, educational institutions, and Web3 communities for potential collaboration.</li> <li>Support Binance Academy activations or workshops in partnership with local leadersTranslate, localize, and draft community content (Arabic, English and French) as needed.</li> <li>Collect and report structured community feedback and event insights to regional leads.</li> <li>Assist in capturing user-generated content, testimonials, and social moments during events.</li> </ul> </ul> </div> </div> <div> <div> Requirements <ul> <ul> <li>Preference for candidates in UAE or Arabic-speaking MENA countries.</li> <li>0-2 years of relevant experience in community support, events, or ambassador roles.</li> <li>Binance Angel or community volunteer experience is a strong plus.</li> <li>Web3 &amp; Binance Ecosystem Knowledge - Strong understanding of both the Binance ecosystem and the broader Web3 space this is essential.</li> <li>Familiarity with blockchain technologies, Web3 principles, and community cultureIn-depth knowledge of Binance products: Spot, P2P, Futures, Earn, Academy, Launchpad, Binance Pay, Binance LiveAwareness of associated platforms: Trust Wallet, SafePal, and other decentralized applications.</li> <li>Community Engagement &amp; Communication - Deep familiarity with crypto communities, especially on Telegram, Discord, and X (Twitter)</li> <li>Proven experience supporting offline events, logistics, or community engagement is preferred.</li> <li>Fluency in English and Arabic is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders.
