Responsibilities - What you&rsquo;ll do
Employees hired in this title are considered hourly/temporary and are not eligible for any benefits.
The following tasks are the responsibility of the Social Services Aide/Community Mentor:
<ul><li>Transport youth (and possibly family) to school, job, doctor appointments, meetings, etc. in a state vehicle.</li>
<li>Spend time with youth in developing constructive relationship, participating in recreational activities or otherwise helping to provide structure and guidance.
</li><li>Provides extra contact for youth in high risk cases.
</li><li>Monitoring clients during home visits from facility.
</li><li>Serves as an appropriate role model and support system.</li>
<li>Provide tutoring or academic assistance with schoolwork or homework.
</li><li>Assist client in securing employment.
</li><li>Assist supervisor in developing employment opportunities and/or community resources for youth/families.
</li><li>Contact service providers or community resources regarding behavior and attitude of client.</li>
<li>Meet with supervisor on a regular basis and report information regarding client to supervisor.</li>
<li>Maintain written log of client contact for documentation purposes.</li>
</ul>Qualifications - All you need for success
A valid driver's license is the only requirement for a SSA. Prior experience working with juveniles or college course work in the social science or criminal justice field is desired.

Job Description:
This employment opportunity is to serve as a Community Service Aide (Abuse Intervention Specialist) to facilitate court mandated group programming for individuals who have used abusive behaviors in intimate partner relationships. Under direction, will perform a variety of routine field and office work involved in community-oriented programs. This position delivers structured, evidence based psychoeducational programming focused on offender accountability, behavior change, and victim/survivor safety.
Job Responsibilities:
<ul><li>Assists in the implementation and delivery of community-oriented service programs which benefit community residents.</li>
<li>Facilitate structured group intervention sessions using an evidence-based Abuse Intervention Program curriculum</li>

Compensation Structure

This position is for a Certified Medication Aides (CMA)s that is a caring and compassionate individual that will have no problem providing hands-on assistance with the daily care needs of the residents including personal needs, grooming and hygiene, bathing assistance, social interactions, and occasional housekeeping, laundering, and meal assistance.A primary responsibility of this position is to dispense medication and coordinate medication administration for all assigned residents and for routinely monitor the resident&rsquo;s comfort and emergent needs.We are looking for a committed individual with previous experience in a senior living setting, who have the ability to proficiently perform the required job duties detail below, which shall include, but are not limited to:<ul><li>Proficiency in administering medication and completion of daily shift reports</li><li>Ability to manage the supply of medications</li><li>Ability to provide an accounting for all medications ordered, received, stored, and administered</li><li>Experience in documentation and completion of the task</li><li>The ability to work with electronics and be proficient at operating computers and internet-based software</li><li>The ability to manage assigned tasks within the scheduled shift</li><li>The ability to meet the physical and emotional needs of the resident</li><li>Aid in daily tasks such as housekeeping as needed, use of telephone, laundry as needed, and supply/mail delivery</li><li>Care for the personal needs, safety, and comfort of our residents</li><li>The ability to obtain, record, and report resident vital signs</li><li>The ability to observe and report changes in residents' condition and status</li><li>The ability to conduct rounds to monitor for hazards or incidents</li></ul>Skills/Requirements:<ul><li>Must be certified as a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) and meet the state&rsquo;s specific certification requirements</li><li>Possesses a minimum of one year experience in a Certified Medication Aide/Med Tech role for an Assisted Living, Independent Living, Skilled Nursing Facility or Memory Care community is preferred</li><li>The ideal candidate will be caring, organized, and able to multi-task</li><li>Six months of work experience in a retirement community setting is preferred</li><li>The candidate must be able to read, write, and communicate effectively with residents, families, guests, and other associates in English</li></ul>Job Type: Full-timePay: From $16.00 per hourBenefits:<ul><li>Flexible spending account</li><li>Paid time off</li></ul>Medical Specialty:<ul><li>Geriatrics</li></ul>Education:<ul><li>High school or equivalent (Preferred)</li></ul>Experience:<ul><li>Certified Medication Aide: 1 year (Required)</li></ul>License/Certification:<ul><li>Certified Nurse Aide (Required)</li></ul>Shift availability:<ul><li>Day Shift (Required)</li><li>Night Shift (Required)</li><li>Overnight Shift (Preferred)</li></ul>Work Location: In person
