Community Support Worker

Self Direction

<p>Two positions are being filled for a young lady that is in the Self Direction program through the OPWDD. Flexible hours but mostly after school (3pm-6pm) and some weekends. Reimbursements for activity fees (including food) and transportation when in the community are available.</p><p>Community Habilitation Worker ($26/hour)- to work on skill building, ADL's, healthy living skills, social skills and safety skills. Up to 12 hours a week are available. Previous Com Hab experience is desired.</p><p>Respite Worker ($20/hour)- Playing board games, making artwork and engaging in other recreational activities, watching TV and general sitting service. Up to 10 hours a week are available.  We pay at the Pay Equity Hourly rates plus a travel allowance which covers travel costs and the time it takes to travel between clients.

 We use Carecall and Remote worker apps for rostering, wh&amacr;nau care plans and electronic timesheets. A reasonable level of computer and technology skills is required as we use email, Mobile phones and Apps to keep in contact with you. Full training on how to use Care Call will be provided.

  About You

 We are looking for applicants who have:

   A Current First Aid Certificate
  </li>
  <li>
   Level 2, 3 or 4 Health and Wellbeing Certificate
  </li>
  <li>
   Hoist training experience [ideally]
  </li>
  <li>
   Full Drivers License
  </li>
  <li>
   Own reliable vehicle
  </li>
  <li>
   Excellent reliability and work ethic
  </li>
  <li>
   Understanding of Tikanga and Te Reo M&amacr;ori or willingness to learn
  </li>
  <li>
   Enthusiasm, energy, initiative and a high degree of flexibility
  </li>
  <li>
   Whakawh&amacr;naungatanga - able to make connections with the wh&amacr;nau we work with
